2010 Navrat Family News

August 6th, 2010 - Michelle took the boys and Carson to the pool this afternoon.  We watched Jaws before bedtime.  Keegan fell asleep as usual.

August 5th, 2010 - Michelle and the boys went to bible school during the evening.  I showed up to watch the kids sing at the culmination.

August 4th, 2010 - Michelle took Dakota to Bible school.  Keegan went with Tyler and his mom to soccer skills camp.  I showed up after work to watch.

August 3rd, 2010 - Michelle took the boys and Simon to bible school during the evening.  She was in charge of games all week.

August 1st, 2010 - Michelle took the boys to church.  The boys played after church with Sean on the playground.  Dakota and I played catch a little in the backyard. 

July 31st, 2010 - We picked up Brendan and Max and took them with us to Liberty Lake park.  Their were booths with free games the kids could play.  They won tickets and exchanged for small prizes and candy.  Afterwards the boys played the rest of the afternoon at our house.  During the evening Michelle took the boys a few blocks down to the park with Siti, Ramli, Syra, June and Simon where they watched National Treasure outside.  The kids got free pop at the movie.  They saw Carson from baseball at the park too.

July 29th, 2010 - Dakota and I went to Jonathon and Carson's house where they were hosting an after season baseball party.  Most of the team was there.  The kids played on the slip and slide, tag, football, freesbie and had hot dogs and hamburgers.  Michelle took Keegan to his soccer skills camp then out to McDonalds.

July 21st, 2010 - Dakota played short stop to start the game and fielded a grounder.  He had to make a quick throw and rifled it into first base to just get the runner out.  He impressed all the fans with his play and teammates who gave him high 5's.  We went into the 6th inning down 4 to 3 but came away with the win 5 to 4.  We ended up forfeiting because we can't field a team for Thursday's game so they were going to advance the other team win or lose.

July 20th, 2010 - Keegan got three singles tonight's game. He played second base a few innings and got one out but missed two grounders.  We handed out trophies and cup cakes to the players tonight in case I'm not at the last game.  Dakota's team plays tomorrow night and if they win we play Liberty Lake on Thursday.

July 19th, 2010 - Keegan said he wanted to do another campout in the backyard so we are doing that again tonight.  Dakota walked 4 times during his game but they won 13-12 and he got the win.  His pitching wasn't his best but he wasn't feeling well.  He walked 6 batters but was throwing strikes because they got 5 hits on him.  He struck out 1 and Hunter made a nice play to tag a runner out at second for another out.  We could have got out of the inning earlier but we only had 8 players so a few hits went into right field where we didn't have a player.  They scored 9 runs on Dakota but we scored 10 on their last pitcher.

July 18th, 2010 - The boys have been playing Quake 3 the last few days.  No one showed up for baseball practice tonight so I just pitched to Dakota and Keegan. We practiced fielding grounders and pop flies.  Dakota pitched a few to Keegan who was reluctant to bat but he started getting hits and felt more comfortable at the plate.  When we got home we had a campout in the backyard.  The boys cooked hot dogs on the fire. We had smores then sat around for awhile and looked at the stars.  Michelle got the house to herself.  The dogs and boys and I slept in the tent.

July 17th, 2010 - We went to the beach in Coerde Lane.  Dakota and I played catch.  He wanted to practice pitching.  We built sand castles.  Nick and Kyle came over in the evening for a bit.  Kyle and Dakota played catch and practiced pitching.  Nick and Keegan played Quake 3.

July 16th, 2010 - Dakota had a baseball game tonight.  He played shortstop for 3 innings and missed three ground balls.  He knocked them down but didn't get the runners out.  He played 2b the next 2 innings but didn't have balls hit.  He walked a few times and struck out.  We lost 12 to 4.

July 15th, 2010 - Keegan had a game tonight.  He got two singles.

July 14th, 2010 - Dakota's team had a chance to win tonight but lost 8 to 12.

July 12th, 2010 - Dakota pitched very well today.  He only allowed two runs in the 1st inning, 0 in the 2nd and 3 in the third to score.  Inning 1 he struck out two and caught a grounder and threw out the runner at 1st with only 1 walk out of 6 batters.  In inning 2 he 2 strikeouts and the first basemen got a grounder for an out.  He only faced 4 batters! In inning 3 he caught two grounders and threw out the runner twice with one strikeout.  He faced 8 batters which he walked two of them.  We had a chance to win this game but our batters were not getting hits.  Dakota left down 5 to 1 in the third.  Ethan allowed 7 runs to score in the 4th but none in the next two innings.  We lost 12 to 6.

July 11th, 2010 - Michelle made cupcakes early.  When we got up, Dakota and Mom sang happy birthday to us.  Keegan got a Mario Cart game nd two steering wheels for his Wii.  Michelle and the boys went to church this morning.  Keegan and Dakota played with Richie afterwards.  In the afternoon we went out to Pizza Hut for lunch then we went to baseball.  Dakota practiced pitching and made some improvements.

July 9th, 2010 - Keegan invited Nick and Kyle to go spend a fun day with us at triple play for his birthday.  The kids swam and rode the water slides for about 3 hours.  We took a break and they ate at Zips then we went miniature golfing.  Dakota and Keegan tied with a 67. Kyle got a 73 , Nick 103 and I got a 55.  It was hot so we went back inside and the boys played in the water park until 8pm.  Nick and Kyle spent the night. 

July 8th, 2010 - Keegan got two nice singles in tonight's baseball game.  He played 1st base and in the outfield.

July 7th, 2010 - Dakota pitched 1 innings but wasn't doing to well.  He allowed 5 hits, 9 walks and got 3 k's during the inning.  We lost 32 to 4.

July 6th, 2010 - Keegan played 2nd base and got one out.  He should have caught a fly ball to get a second out but dropped it.  He played first base and caught two grounders and knocked down one to get three outs.  He also tagged a runner out at home for an out.  He got thrown out at first one time but got on base the second time and made it home.

July 5th, 2010 - Dakota didn't get any plays in the field at Short Stop today but hit both times at bat.  He got thrown out at first both times.

July 4th, 2010 - We went to Liberty Lake during the evening and listed to the big band music then watched the fireworks.  Keegan saw a friend from kindergarten and said hi. They gave him a bunch of glow lights. 

July 1st, 2010 - Keegan had three hits tonight.  I threw pretty fast to the players tonight and they all did well.  Tucker and Jackson were in town so spent the day and are staying the night with the boys. 

June 30th, 2010 - Dakota pitched 3 innings walking 7 and striking out 2.  He played short stop too.  He caught two grounders at pitcher and threw to first to get an out but the first basemen dropped one of the throws.  Dakota struck out for the first time this year but had one hit too.

June 28th, 2010 - Keegan and Kyle played Dungeon Siege 2 most of the morning.  Dakota made a nice play at short stop tonight catching a pop fly.  He hit the ball in his two times at bat.  Once to the pitcher who threw to the first basemen who dropped it.  His second hit was better but a pop fly out to second base.  Their team lost 21 to 4.

June 27th, 2010 - After baseball practice Dakota went and spent the night at Nick's and Kyle came and spent the night with Keegan. Keegan and Kyle watched Gremlins.

June 25th, 2010 - Michelle, Jason and I took the kids to drive go carts.  Keegan and I won.  I wouldn't let Jason and Drew pass the first race.  The double go carts were slower but Keegan and I got to begin the race first.  We lapped Jayme.  The second race Drew could of beat us but Keegan ran him into the wall when I let him steer a bit.  Jason's car wasn't as good the second time around. The boys all did some trampoline bungee jumping and enjoyed that.  We all played miniature golf except Michelle.  It was a tougher course but we had fun.  The guys went into Bar Harbor and visited a few bars.  Kristin, Grandma, Drew and Jaymie went shopping in Bar Harbor.  On their way to the restaurant they got rear ended.  Kristin and Jayme had sore necks. We arrived at Ruth and Wimpy's restaurant and had a good meal.  Lobster and Steak.  Grandma got three lobsters because Keegan and Drew didn't like theirs.  We celebrated Lauren, Jaymie and Keegan's birthday back at the cottage.

June 24th, 2010 - The girls all went shopping today.  The guys planted a birch clump for Neal's three kids.  I took the kids down to the beach to look for rocks to bring home and sea shells.  Sammy fell over a log and got a bloody nose.

June 23rd, 2010 - It rained today.  Michelle and I took all the kids to get doughnuts at Dunkin Doughnuts.  During the evening Michelle and I watched Ella while the rest of the parents took the kids to see Toy Story 3 at the theater.

June 22nd, 2010 - We went whale watching today.  Dakota said we saw 11 different whales.  We saw a minky, sperm back and thinback whales along with seals, porpoises and the second largest shark in the world. Some photos of whales are posted on bhwhales at flickr

June 21st, 2010 - We all went to Sand beatch in Acadia National Park.  The water was freezing but the kids waded and built forts in the sand.  We stayed all day until high tide.

June 20th, 2010 - Michelle and the kids got me a pocket watch for father's day.  It said, World's Greatest Dad.  I really like it. We searched for clams during the morning. Everyone had a good time digging fior clams.  Lauren and Keegan caught small crabs on the beach too look at.  We saw a small eel swim by us.  During the evening we took the kids down to the water and they went out in the boats and kayaks on the ocean.

June 19th, 2010 - We left for Maine this morning.  The kids were looking forward to meeting their cousin's in Minneapolis for part of the flight.

June 16th, 2010 - Dakota and Keegan's last day of school was today.  They only had to go for a few hours.  When they got home they spent the day playing with friends on the trampoline and computer.  We went to the opening baseball game for the Spokane Indians who lost 1 to 6 to Tri City.  It was fireworks night.  The kids enjoyed that the most and eating nachos.  Keegan spilled them on the ground, but since mom wasn't there they picked them up and finished them off.  We went with Kara and Dan and their kids.  So the boys mostly talked and ate the whole game.  They claim to have seen some of the game.

June 16th, 2010 - Dakota's team fought it out for six innings tonight.  They were down 7 to 0 going into the top of bottom of the third then scored 3 runs.  But in the 4th the other team scored 5 runs but our team scored 8.  It was 15 to 12 in the bottom of the sixth but we could only muster 3 runs so we lost 15 to 14.  Dakota pitched 3 innings.  He didn't pitch to the last batter batter.  Dakota had 6 k's.  Carson came into the game for the last batter and struck him out to help Dakota finish the inning. Dakota had the best at bats tonight.  He walked 4 times and hit a nice hit out past 2nd base.  He had 2 runs, went 1 for 1 and 1 RBI's.

June 15th, 2010 - Keegan played catcher 2 in the 1st, 3rd and 5th innings and short stop in the 4th inning.  Keegan got two singles and got thrown out at first once.

June 14th, 2010 - Dakota's team got whooped 46 to 0 tonight.  Dakota was 0-1 but only had one AB. Dakota played short stop and had a few nice stops. He held onto the ball a little too long a few times instead of getting the throw to first base.  One time he was trying to hold the runner at third which he did but didn't get the out. 

June 10th, 2010 - Dakota and Keegan had a family lunch day.  We went to their school and had a picnic with the boys on the playground.  After lunch the boys classes represented the 80's.  Keegan wore my old Evergreen Road Race t-shirt that I got for running the 10k in Evergreen, Colorado in the 80's.  Their class put on a break dance demonstration for parents.  The kids showed it to six different classes during the day.  They had a good time.

June 9th, 2010 - Dakota had his first Pee Wee game tonight.  They won 26-10.  Alexander Biglin pitched the first three innings and the score was 26-1.  Dakota came in and pitched the next 2 outs. He really did pretty good even though 9 runs scored on him.  He struck out 1 batter and had two batters at full count but walked them.  He hit two batters and walked 7 batters, 1 batter got a hit and he struck out a batter.  He had full count twice and a bunch of 3 and 1's.  Most of his walks were all very close.  We all thought he was pitching well.  Dakota even got a infield hit in his only at bat.

June 6th, 2010 - We watched the Tooth Fairy and The Red Baron this morning.  Keegan had his baseball practice first.  Dakota had his practice next.  Dakota didn't want to bat so kept backing out of the batters box because he was afraid of the pitchers.  He did decide to be the pitcher and was my best pitcher tonight.

June 5th, 2010 - Michelle is doing her garage sale.  The kids are helping out and playing in the yard.

June 4th, 2010 - It's raining so no school bike ride. Dakota ended up getting to watch a movie in the morning and one in the afternoon.

June 3rd, 2010 - The kids woke up early and we snuck into the kitchen and got out the muffins we bought yesterday.  Keegan put a candle in one of them and Dakota lit it and we sung happy birthday to mom.  We got her a new swimsuit she will take back and try to find the "right" one.  When I got home from work Keegan ran up to me and told me he threw away a beer mug because mom said it was ok.  Keegan had went to get a glass for water and read the words on a beer mug, "Life's a Bitch and then you die" and started crying.  I told him mom's garage sale was in two days why doesn't he just sell it then and if it doesn't sell throw it away.  So he agreed.  During the evening we all went on a bike ride on the trail.  By the end of the ride Dakota wanted to go further.  He was having fun, finally.  Now he is looking forward to tomorrow's bike ride with his school.

June 2nd, 2010 - The boys had their first baseball practice tonight.  Keegan's team was first.  Dakota's team practice after Keegan's was finished.  Six kids wanted to tryout for pitcher and two kids wanted to play catcher.  I told Dakota that he had to play some catcher but he didn't bring his cup so couldn't tonight.  Each of the pitchers did ok for the first night.  Hunter got beaned in the back pretty good.  Dakota then got hit in the nose and cheek when it skimmed him.  Hunter then got hit in the helmet.

May 31st, 2010 - Michelle picked the kids up early.  Then took them over to Dakota's friend Brendon's house where they spent the day playing with him and his brother.  They had a good time and were outside when it started pouring rain but they kept playing and had fun in the rain.  We picked them up and ran some errands.  We ended up getting a bicycle for Dakota for his school bike trip this Friday.  Michelle was tired so stayed home and I took the boys over to their grandparents to have supper.  They were going on vacation in the morning.  Dakota and Keegan played with Abby and Carson.

May 30th, 2010 - We went over for supper at Amanda and Eric's tonight.  The boys played outside with some neighbor kids and Janae.  They played soccer most of the time. After supper they watched Popeye and spent the night at Janae's house.

May 29th, 2010 - Keegan's soccer tourney was today.  Game 1 we played Coach Triplett.  It was a very tough game.  We ended up winning 2 to 0. Keegan stopped two goal shots.  Adam and Ethan each scored a goal.  Game 2 we won 2 to 1.  Adam gave up a goal as goalie.  Keegan and Kyle each scored a goal.  Adam had a nice pass in to Keegan past the defenders.  Keegan made a nice move on the goalie to score the goal along the left side.  Game 3 the other team played pretty hard the whole game.  Adam scored the first goal.  They scored a goal on Kyle when he ran in and switched with Brandon who needed to use the restroom.  Adam scored then scored the next goal to put us ahead.   Ethan made a nice move on the defender and kicked it past the goalie to get the third goal.  Towards the end of the game he scored again.  Keegan played goalie at the beginning of the game and saved two goals.  Lestat was the goalie at the end of the game and made two nice saves to stop them from scoring.  We ended up winning 4 to 1.  We faced Wayne Lamoreaux's Yellow Jackets in the Championship game.  They beat us this spring and last fall and we hadn't beat them since last May.  The game started out with them pulling ahead 1 to 0 when their player scored on Keegan.  Adam tied it up with a goal.  They went ahead 2 to 1 then we tied it up with a score from Ethan.  They pulled ahead on a penalty kick in front of the goal.  Our players were all back in the goal and Ethan went to kick it out and missed the ball so it went under his legs and Brandon didn't have a chance to pick it up because our team was in his way.  They scored later on Ethan when he left an open net to try to charge the player.  Brandon scored our final goal with about 2 minutes left in the game.  The kids got second place medals. 

May 28th, 2010 - The boys played a bit outside the next morning then Joey's mom took him and Dakota to IMAX to watch the movie Hubble.  Keegan, Michelle and I jumped around on the trampoline a bit.  Keegan and I played catch and practiced pitching 44'.  When Dakota got home we played catch too and worked on batting and pitching.

May 27th 2010 - Dakota, Keegan and Michelle went to see Janae's culmination ceremony.  Dakota's friend Joey slept over.  The boys played video games most of the time but watched the movie Jumanji before bed.  Dakota got a bit scared so slept upstairs after the boys fell asleep. 

May 22nd, 2010 - Dakota's team tied 2 to 2.  Keegan's team won 6 to 4.  Keegan, Kyle, Adam, Brandon, Kaleb, and Ethan all scored goals.  Kyle had one of the best goals of the season when he kicked it over the top of defenders heads and into the top of the net above the goalies hands.  Dakota's soccer party was at Boston's.  They enjoyed it.  Keegan got a cheese pizza and Dakota got a cheesburger.

May 15th, 2010 - Dakota's team lost 2 to 4.  Keegan's team lost for the first time this spring 2 to 3.

May 9th, 2010 - Dakota woke up around 7am to wake me up.  Then woke Keegan up and we went downstairs to make mom breakfast.  They brought her coffee and cut up apples and banana's in bed while the sausage cooked.  Then they made scrambled eggs and brought her the eggs and sausage in bed.  We all went to church.  After church we went to Iron Man 2.  The ticket stubs were good for a free krispy kreme donut so on our way home we stopped there and let the kids eat donuts.

May 8th, 2010 - Keegan's team won 10 to 0.  Kyle scored the first three goals.  Keegan had a nice assist to Kyle.  Keegan played goalie at the end of the game and saved 4 goals.  Brandon, Tyler and Adam each scored two goals and Ethan got the other goal plus had a nice assist.  Dakota's team won 7 to 0.  I showed up a little late but got to see Dakota make a nice defensive play.  He took the ball, dribbled up the field and passed forward to his teammate.  When he switched to forward he had a nice assist by passing the ball to Cade when a defender approached him and Cade kicked it in for a goal.  Dakota missed a shot so had some chances.  Cade had a nice pass to Dakota who could of kicked it in but they were too close and Dakota pulled up, so Cade hustled forward and kicked it in for his second score.

May 7th, 2010 - We all went on our first bike ride together.  Josh and Simon came with us too.  Dakota is riding pretty fast now and is more comfortable riding.  Keegan rode the bigger bike and when he stops if he stays on the seat he crashes and falls over which he did twice during the ride.  The kids stopped at the park and played for a while.  When we got home Seth was waiting at the door so they played Playstation and Wii with him for an hour.  We took the boys to soccer drills and when we got home watched Survivor on the computer..o

May 6th, 2010 - Dakota rode 12 laps on his bike today.

May 5th, 2010 - Michelle took the boys swimming after school.

May 4th 2010 - Dakota was looking forward since they won their game Saturday to make Coach Jeff run around the school at soccer practice. He was disappointed the other kids made him do a lap around the field.  He was throwing his attitude around and not practicing so I told him to go ask Jeff if he could do it the end of practice.  Jeff agreed.  Although they didn't do it right so Dakota wasn't too happy how it went.  They were supposed to stop half way on the other side of the school and meet the other group coming the other direction.

May 3rd, 2010 - Keegan was eating a carrot and his tooth came out and he swallowed it.  He wrote a note to the tooth fairy in place of the tooth.

May 1st, 2010 - Dakota's team won again!  This time 2 to 1.  Dakota had 4 corner kicks and kicked one in that the other team got but we got it back and Hunter then scored.  Cade scored the other goal.  Dakota played very well.  He and Hunter did some nice passing together and each had some shots at the goal because of their good passing.  Keegan scored three times and his team won 11 to 0 in 2 and half quarters.  The other coach wanted to call the game because his players weren't playing and it was hailing.  Adam scored 4 times, Brandon 2 times, Caleb and Tyler each had a score too.  Caleb's score was especially nice he made two moves to get by a player and got a nice kick past the goalie.

April 26th, 2010 - The boys wanted to go out to Red Lobster so we all went out to eat.  When we got home from supper Keegan wanted to ride bike. So I went for a run and he rode bike along side me for 2 miles. Dakota had done 4 laps after school without being told. Dakota read a whole book today, one of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, over 220 pages!

April 25th, 2010 - Dakota rode 6 laps on the side street in a few minutes to make up for missing Saturday and did an extra 2 laps.  No attitude today!

April 24th, 2010 - Dakota's team lost 0 to 5 in soccer today.  Keegan's team won 5 to 4.  Lestat, Kaleb and Brandon each scored 1 goal.  Adam scored 2 goals.  Kyle had 2 assists and Keegan had an assist.  Tyler and Lestat each gave up two goals.

April 23rd, 2010 - Dakota did a lot better.  Still a bit of an attitude but probably was done in about 10 minutes today.

April 22nd, 2010 - Dakota wasn't too happy after school.  I told him he had to ride two circles on the bicycle.  He has to learn how to ride bike by Mom's birthday and will do 2 circles a day.  What could have taken less then 5 minutes took about 30 minutes with a lot of attitude adjustments.

April 20th, 2010 - Congratulations to my cousin Tim and his wife Amy who had their first child, Shelby born today at 2:00 PM.  She weighted 7lbs. 12oz, and was 20 inches long.

April 18th, 2010 - We went downtown this morning.  Michelle and Keegan walked around the women's convention while Dakota and I went to my office to get an hour of work done.  Dakota and I met Michelle and Keegan at the carousel.  The boys fed the seagulls, ducks and geese.  Then they got ice cream cones and we walked back to my office.  In the afternoon we went to visit Steve and Katherine who had a business proposition for us.  The kids played with Tyler.  We got home and finished watching Survivor then the boys and I played Uno.

April 17th, 2010 - Keegan's team won 11 to 3.  Keegan scored a goal and passed to Ethan for Ethan's first goal.  Ethan scored two in the game.  Kyle scored 1.  Tyler who had been out the last two weeks due to a hurt leg told me at the start of the game, "I'm pumped for the game".  He scored 4 goals today.  Adam scored three.  The whole team did a great job passing to open teammates.  Dakota's team won for the first time in a year!  They won 3 to 2 and Sean scored his first goal.  Dakota's second game they lost 2 to 3.  Keegan's team won 12 to 1.  Everyone on their team scored one goal and Tyler, Adam and Brandon each scored another goal or two.

April 10th, 2010 - Keegan scored a goal.  Adam scored 4 and Brandon 3 to win 8 to 0 in their soccer game.  Dakota's team lost 1 to 3.  Dakota had a free kick to try to score on the goalie but couldn't get it by him.

April 8th, 2010 - Dakota had his hockey game vs. the Teachers at his school.  They played indoor hockey in the gym.  Dakota scored two goals and had two assists and the kids beat the teachers.

April 3rd, 2010 - Keegan scored the first goal of the spring for his team.  Then scored another during the first half.  His team won 9 to 4.  Adam scored 4, Lestat 1, Kyle 2, Keegan 2 and Brandon 1.  Dakota also scored the first goal for his team this spring.  Nick had a nice pass to take away the goalie and Dakota had a free shot to pull his team ahead 1 to 0.  Later Kyle scored another and their team led by 2 to 1 at the half.  But the other team came back towards the end of the game and scored two more so they lost 2 to 3.

April 2nd, 2010 - Michelle took the boys and Simon swimming at the gym this afternoon.  Dakota spent the night at Nick's.  Keegan and Mom watched Lord of the Rings togeather.

March 26th, 2010 - Dakota had hockey practice after school today.  They practiced in the school gym. On April 8th 8 kids will play against the teachers. His friend Joey invited him to participate.  It was one of the auction items at the school auction.  The boys each picked out a book at the book fair.  Dakota chose a book on insects.  Keegan got a Pokeman book.  We had soccer practice for the boys tonight. 

March 25th, 2010 - Keegan and Dakota got to go with four teachers and a few classmates to the Spokane Chiefs vs. Portland hockey game tonight.  They enjoyed pizza at David's Pizza.  After that they went to the game.  They got autographs from the three of the players on the hockey team and each enjoyed getting a real hockey puck.  I stopped by the game for work and said Hi to the boys.  They had cotton candy, hockey pucks, autographs and big smiles on their faces.

March 23rd, 2010 - Dakota had his first soccer practice this spring.  Keegan practiced with Dakota's team.

March 20th, 2010 - Keegan and I went running a mile.  He made it the whole way without stopping.  We played catch with the baseball.  I couldn't get Dakota off the computer.

March 19th, 2010 - The boys came to my office after school.  They did their homework and played while I worked for an hour or so.

March 12th, 2010 - We went to the kid's school auction tonight.  The kids had a great time playing in the gym.  There were movies and games.  We didn't get any of our bids except a gift certificate to McDonalds and 4 tickets to the movies.

March 7th, 2010 - The kids played with Simon today.  I went golfing with Dan Byington.  I got a 48 on an easy 9 hole course.  Dan wouldn't comment on his score.  He ended up in the sand a lot.

March 5th, 2010 - I went on Keegan's snowshoe field trip.  He carried a backpack all the way which must have tired him out because he was the last one back with Grace. 

March 4th, 2010 - Michelle and I went with Dakota and his class on a field trip to the Spokane House a fur trading post.

February 20th, 2010 - We took a 7 mile hike up a trail behind Liberty Lake this morning.  It took us about 2 and half to 3 hours to get to the waterfall.  Then about an hour and half to get back.  Michelle ran for about a hundred yards at the end of the trail.  Keegan ran with her.  Dakota and I walked until I told him Mom had a surprise.  Then off he went to find out what it was and ran a hundred yards to catch up to her.  The surprise was taking them to use their gift cards at Subway where they got a sandwich. We all had sore feet so when we got home we were happy to sit down and watch, The Wolf Man (1946) and Aliens.  We started to watch the old black and white "Hunchback of Notre Dame" but were too tired and went to bed.

February 19th, 2010 - Dakota had a school field trip to Cabala's this morning.  I met them there and helped with a group of four. They had to go to different area's of the store and pick animals and fish to draw.  Dakota drew a barracuda fish, a lion and a skunk.  He started on an arctic fox but said it was too hard so the closest small animal turned out to be a skunk.

February 17th, 2010 - Dakota had his school field trip to snowshoe on Mt Spokane today.  I went with him.  He had a good time.  They especially had fun going back down.  On the steeper parts of the path they were sliding on their butts.  Dakota had fun goofing off with Abby.  He walked too close to her a few times and they would both fall.

February 14th, 2010 - The kids got spoiled with left over presents from Christmas.  They got a sponge bob DS game and a Playstation 3 Lord of the Rings game along with some clothes and a candy bar.  Michelle went to church and ran out of gas on the way so walked half a mile.  The kids and I then went and filled up the car and walked back half a mile to the van.  Around supper time we took them over to spend the night at Nick, Kyle and Sydney's new house.

February 13th, 2010 - We went to the 7th annual Heart Awareness Day at Sacred Heart.  A classmate of Keegan was there. He will have his first heart surgery in March.  The boys played with Ben.  Dakota and Ben played Bingo together.  Radical Rick put on some science tricks for the show this year.  Dakota was called up to participate.  Ben got to go on stage too.  The boys really enjoyed the show.  Afterwards we went bowling.  Michelle was winning until the last two frames when she threw two gutter balls to end her game and I threw two spares to catch her and win. 

February 9th, 2010 - The boys had me install Dungeon Siege II on mom's computer so we all could play at one time.  Keegan told Mom and Dakota that he was going to grow up and sell rocks for $5 a rock.

February 8th, 2010 - Keegan had his first day of swimming for school this afternoon.  He said he enjoyed it.

February 3rd, 2010 - Michelle watched Nick, Kyle and Sydney after school today.  They were moving to their new home.  The kids played on the computer and outside on the trampoline.  Janae was here too so she and Sydney got to play together.

February 2nd, 2010 - Michelle took the boys swimming after school.  Keegan and I played Dungeon Siege after they got home.

January 26th, 2010 - Keegan and his classmates put on a show at their school for their families.  They did different dances.  Keegan was part of the friendship dance from the Spokane Tribe.  Afterwards we took the boys to McDonald's to use their last of their Christmas gift card money.

January 24th, 2010 - We took the boys swimming today.  We had a good time.  After swimming the boys played outside with Nick and Kyle.

January 19th, 2010 - Michelle took the boys swimming after school and then to Pizza Hut.  Keegan and I played Dungeon Siege when he got home.

January 18th, 2010 - I went running this morning.  Keegan rode his bike along side me and Dakota rode his scooter.  Afterwards we went to the soccer field and played baseball.  The boys hit some balls. 

January 17th, 2010 - The boys watched the first half of the Vikings and Cowboys game with me.  Then they played Dungeon Siege on the conputer.  Later they played with Nick and Kyle on the computer.
