December 25th,  2006 -  As usual Keegan was the first one up this morning.  He woke up around 430am and I tucked him in.  He said, "Dad if Santa has come already.  I'm going to get up now".  I told him ok and he was back asleep for a few more hours.  Dakota really enjoyed the robe he got.  Keegan screamed with joy when he opened his first present a batman.  And of course both boys enjoyed getting power ranger toys.  But they spent all morning playing some of the video games, Spiderman, Superman, Scooby Doo and Sponge Bob. shadow_viking1, shadow_viking2, keegan1, keegan2, keegan3, keegan4, keegan5, dakota_mom1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan4, dakota_keegan5, dakota_keegan6, dakota_dad1, dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota4, dakota5, dakota6, dad1, dad2, dakota7, keegan6, keegan7,

December 24th,  2006 -  Michelle had Josh, Simon, Papa, Grandma, Von, Jenna, Abby, Carson, Larry, Naomi, Chase, Lawrence, Jeremy, Richie and Lisa over for Christmas Eve.  Dakota and Keegan played quake against their cousin's Chase and Lawrence for a bit.  It was hard to pull them away from the game but Abby wanted to play.  Simon was the life of the party handing out presents to everyone. von_jenna_carson_michelle1, von_jenna_carson1, von_jenna_abby_carson1, tom_von_richie_jenna_carson_abby1, tom_bonnie_josh_simon_von1, tom_bonnie1, simon1, ryan_tom_simon1, richie_lisa1, papa_grandma_jenna_carson_abby1, papa_grandma_jenna_carson1, papa_grandma_abby1, lawrence1, larry_naomi_lawrence_jeremy1, keegan1, keegan2, jenna1, dakota_keegan_simon1, dakota_keegan_simon2, dakota_keegan_dad_simon_tom1, dakota_keegan_dad_lawrence1, dakota_keegan_chase1, dakota_keegan_abby_chase1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_dad_chase1, dakota1, dakota2, chase1, carson1, abby_jeremy_lawrence1, abby1,

December 23rd,  2006 -  Keegan was talking in his sleep this morning.  He was saying, "I lost my Christmas tree".  Keegan was waiting patiently for mom to go outside with him while she wrapped presents.  So I told the boys I'd go out with them.  We shoveled the driveway and sidewalks again.  They enjoyed having a snowball fight with me.  After that we all made a snowman.  Then came inside and mom made hot chocolate and we watched a bit of Oliver Twist together.

December 22nd,  2006 -  Keegan woke us up early today.  He got up and got dressed and shoveled the back porch all by himself.  I got dressed and Dakota did also and we joined Keegan and shoveled the front driveway and sidewalk.  Michelle then took the boys down the street sledding while I got ready for work.  Nick and Kyle came over and they played quake 1 for a while.  Later in the day the boys went over to Simon's to play and then Simon came over to play at our house. dakota_keegan_mom1, dakota_keegan_mom2, dakota_keegan_mom3, keegan1, viking1, viking2,

December 21st,  2006 -  Michelle brought the boys to my work for our Christmas potluck today.  The boys had fun eating and running up and down the hall.  They were very helpful after lunch by helping to carry all the food and utensils to the break room.  After lunch I took a break and we drove downtown to River Park Square so the boys could see Santa.  As usual they asked for Power Ranger toys and may have mentioned Spiderman. dakota_keegan_ryan_michelle_rob1, office1, office2, keegan_ryan1, keegan_ryan_russ1, keegan_ryan_sheri_rob_russ1,

December 19th,  2006 -  Dakota had a Pajama party at school today.  They watched The Polar Express and had popcorn.  He said he really enjoyed it. dakota_abby1, dakota_keegan_abby1, keegan_abby1,

December 15th,  2006 -  This morning Keegan wanted me to play Quake 4 with him.  We did that for an hour or so then it was time for me to go to Dakota's school and help him decorate his gingerbread house.  The class sang some songs too.

December 12th,  2006 -  I had a long day at work today but when I got home Keegan told me about his day.  Mom took the boys to see the movie, Happy Feet.  They got pop, popcorn and cotton candy.  It was a good show.  Keegan was telling me all about it.  He also played with Nick, Kyle and Sydney.  The boys went to Josh's house and watched him play pacman and they played with Simon. dakota1, dakota_keegan1, keegan1,

December 11th,  2006 -  Michelle took the boys to Idaho to meet Katherine, Tyler and Ashley.   They all went to triple play and played games and had lunch.  dakota1, dakota_keegan_katherine_tyler_ashley1, dakota_keegan_tyler_ashley1, katherine_ashley1, keegan1, keegan2, shadow_viking1, tyler1, tyler_ashley1,

December 10th,  2006 -  Donovan called Dakota this morning and asked if he could come over.  Dakota replied, "Can my brother come too?"  He heard the answer and replied to Keegan, "You can come too".  Both boys were excited and got dressed.  They rushed Michelle to finish her shower and take them over there.  She called Donovan's parents and found out only Dakota could come.  Keegan was pretty upset.  I had just got done hooking up both boys computers so Keegan and I went downstairs and played quake 1 against each other.  Then Nick, Kyle and Sydney came over.  I got all three computers ready and Nick, Keegan and Kyle all played against each other.  They had a good time. keegan_nick_kyle_sydney1,

December 7th,  2006 -  Michelle helped out in Dakota's class today.  She heard a couple of girls talking about Dakota.  They said Dakota loves Tarin and Tarin loves Dakota isn't that gross.  Before bedtime Dakota asked Michelle to write down his phone number for him because Tarin wanted it.  He fell asleep holding the piece of paper with our phone number on it.

December 6th,  2006 -  Nick and Kyle came over.  The boys played sega.  dakota_keegan_nick_kyle1,

December 2nd,  2006 -  This morning I woke up to go get a Christmas tree.  Dakota was going to go with me but changed his mind about when I headed out the door.  I found that the prices had gone up quite a bit so decided to consider getting Michelle her fake tree she has always wanted.  I almost had a nice one I liked for $99 but I arrived just as one store clerk was telling another to tag it for her and remove it from the floor.  I found a second one I liked at Sears but they were out of stock.  I ended up having to go with the most expensive one and in a style I didn't quite like but it seemed like the nicest looking one.  When I brought it in the door, Dakota was disappointed that it wasn't a real tree.   So he was sad for a little bit.  But once Michelle had it up he began to like it.  Michelle was happy she finally got her artificial tree.  She did a very nice job decorating it and at the end of the day Dakota helped me put the angel on top.  Then we Keegan and I did it again so he could help me too.  dakota_dad1, dakota_keegan_dad1, keegan_dad1,

December 1st,  2006 -   thief1,

November 30th,  2006 -  Dakota and I shoveled the first snow of the year for the front driveway and sidewalk before school this morning.  When Keegan got home from school he shoveled a bit of the back porch but then lost interest and wanted to go play his power rangers video game.  I guess it was supposed to be for Christmas but some how he was snooping and found it so Michelle let him have it.  When Dakota got home from school I took the boys sledding.  Keegan had a smile on his face constantly. He really was having fun.  Dakota was too and provided most of the entertainment for Keegan since he was tackling him as they went up the hill and both were rolling down the hill.  When we got home the boys played  the video game for a short while then took a nap with Michelle.  After the nap we all went to Disney on Ice - The Incredibles.  Both boys really enjoyed it.  I think we watched them more then the show.  They got spoiled with hot dogs and nachos then Dakota chose cotton candy and Keegan chose a sno-cone.  But both shared a little with each other.

November 28th,  2006 -  We watched Charlie Brown Christmas tonight together.  Michelle was asking me if I heard Keegan this morning when he was talking in his sleep.  Keegan was laughing and saying, "Fire in the hole".  He probably got it from the day before when Dakota was running around the living room and sticking out his butt and yelling fire in the hole and got Keegan doing it.

November 24th,  2006 -  Andrew, Shannon, Donovan and Cameron came over tonight and watched Gonzaga lose to Butler in the NIT championship.  The kids had fun playing together.

November 23rd,  2006 -  This afternoon we went over and spent thanksgiving with Jim and Joann.  The boys always love playing with their cousin Abby.  abby1, abby_larry_pappa_cassie_jeremy1, carson1, carson2, dakota_keegan_abby1, dakota_keegan_chase1, dakota_keegan_joann_naomi_lawrence1, dakota_keegan_joann_naomi_lawrence2, jack_bandit_shadow_viking1, jack_bandit_viking1, keegan_chase1, larry_chase_jenna_carson_joann_naomi1, michelle_carson1, naomi_carson1,

November 20th,  2006 -  Michelle watched Donovan this afternoon.  The kids played a lot with the puppies today. We finally settled on names for the puppies.  The bigger one Michelle decided to call Shadow since he was following her around a lot during the day.  The other one is not as black so we decided to call him Smokey.  donovan_kyle1, donovan_smokey_shadow1, keegan_donovan_kyle_smokey_shadow1, sydney_shadow1, keegan_shadow1, keegan_shadow2, shadow_viking1, shadow_viking2,

Kelly and TJ came over to watch the Miami Dolphins play the Minnesota Vikings so I stayed home to watch a disappointing loss.  We were going to go out to play golf after the game but it started raining so we went to Hooters and watched the late games for Kelly's 40th birthday.  dakota_keegan_smokey_shadow1, dakota_keegan_smokey_shadow2, dakota_keegan_smokey_shadow3, dakota_keegan_smokey_shadow4, dakota_mom_smokey_shadow1, dakota_mom_smokey_shadow2, dakota_smokey_shadow1, dakota_smokey1, dakota1 keegan_mom_smokey_shadow1, keegan_mom_smokey_shadow2, keegan_shadow1, ryan1, shadow1, shadow2, smokey_shadow1, smokey_shadow2, smokey_shadow3, smokey_shadow4, thief_shadow1,

November 10th,  2006 -  We all went to pick out a new Schnauzer today.  The boys and I liked the biggest chubbiest Schnauzer of the litter.  He is black and silver.  We might pick him up on Saturday the 18th or Michelle might want to wait a week later.  After we saw the puppy we went out to lunch at Rocky Rocco pizza.  Then I almost got a parking ticket but came out right as he put the envelope on the windshield and I dropped a quarter in the meter.  He gave me a break and I was very thankful.  We bought Disney on Ice tickets then went home and watched the Gonzaga Bulldogs beat the Eastern Washington Eagles.  The neighbors came over and the kids played while the adults watched the game.

November 5th,  2006 -  We all went out to Jonas house a bit after noon for a salmon feed his parents put on.  They smoked salmon and had rabbit stew.  The boys had fun playing and didn't want to leave.

November 4th,  2006 -  It was a rough end of the soccer season for me today.  We only had five boys come to the game.  Keegan didn't have as much energy for the game so he wasn't into it.  The other team we played was pretty good keeping spread out and passing.  We quickly went down 0 to 4 the first half.  The second half Adam scored one for us.  Later in the fourth quarter Keegan scored a goal.  Most of the time our players were either standing or chasing leaves or laying on the ground.  We came home and celebrated Dakota's birthday.  Jonas spent the night.  Nick, Kyle and Sydney  attended as well as Ramli, Abby, Carson, Jenna, Von, Jeremy, Papa, Grandma and Josh and Simon. dakota_birthdaygroup1, dakota_jonas1, dakota_keegan_jeremy1, dakota_keegan_jonas_nick1, dakota_keegan_josh_jenna_grandma_jeremy1, dakota_keegan_kyle_ramli_nick_jonas1, dakota_keegan_ramli_sydney1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_nick_abby1, dakota_simon_nick_sydney_kyle1, dakota_simon_sydney_abby1, dakota_sydney_abby_kara1, dakota1, jackson_tucker_kyle_sydney1, keegan_dad1, keegan_dad2, keegan1, keegan2, ryan_kelly_ashley_sean_tucker_jonas_josh1, von_carson1, von_carson2,  Nadine sent some pictures. kelsie1, kelsie_hannah1, kelsie_hannah2, kelsie_hannah_beth_nadine1, kelsie_madaline_hannah_mcclain_ben1, kelsie_nadine1,

November 1st,  2006 -  Dakota turned six today!  Michelle made him pancakes and eggs for breakfast.  Keegan woke up early and got him up.  After breakfast we let him open his presents from us.  His face lit up when he opened his first present a Vikings wallet.  He had wanted a wallet for a few months. He also got a Vikings long sleeve shirt.  He opened  the birthday card from Pappy and Grandma and got to put a check in the wallet.  He told Keegan he would buy him a present with some of the money.  I took the boys to school today and dropped off cookies for Dakota's class.  After school Michelle took the boys to get new tires for the van at Costco.  They didn't behave so got in trouble.  Dakota didn't want to go to Keegan's soccer practice so it was just Keegan and I.  It turned out only one other boy, Adam, showed up.  I was proud of Dakota.  He took time out from playing his computer game with the neighbor kids to thank pappy and grandma for his birthday card and money and told him what he bought with it. dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota4, dakota5, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan4, Grandma Sue sent some pictures and an article for a benefit Tim Wheeler played at. October 14th,  2006 -  Keegan woke up before 7am all excited to go on our big trip.  He kept trying to wake Dakota up for 10 minutes.  When I finally got up Dakota came downstairs.  Earlier in the week Dakota was pretty excited that he was the VIP for school and had to do a big homework assignment.  One of the questions on the project was what is one thing you wish for.  Dakota wrote, "for Drew  and Jamie to move here". October 10th,  2006 -  The boys had a great practice tonight.  They did a lot of drills with passing the ball to each other.  Then played a game.  Keegan wanted his brother on his team so Dakota, Keegan and Riley took Ramli, Tate and Brady on and won 3 to 2.  They each scored one of the three goals.

October 7th,  2006 -  Keegan had a great game today.  He scored three goals today and dominated the other team.  Dakota hustled his butt off and played great defense.  Dakota didn't have as much success as past week's being the goalie but he had fun. September 27th,  2006 -   We had Keegan's soccer practice tonight.  A group of people came over to us and another soccer team and wanted to kick us off the soccer field.  They tried to say the covenant doesn't allow for organized team sports to be played on the field.  I explained I lived a few houses away but they wanted to try and say I was in a different addition.  But the common areas are for all of us so I don't think they can make us move.  We shall see.  I already told them that we would be back next week for sure on Tuesday with my other son's team since we have a parent that lives next to the field.  Most of the kids tonight didn't have much of an attention span but I think they are picking up some of the concept of the game.  Naomi sent some pictures. larry_naomi_chase_lawrence1, larry_naomi_chase_lawrence2, sunset_from_naomi,

September 24th,  2006 -  Well I left the Vikings leading 6 to 3 at halftime to head to Silverwood with the family.  Dakota watched part of Superman on DVD on the way there but Keegan fell asleep.  The first thing Keegan wanted to do was ride the rapids.  So Michelle took him and they had  a good time.  Dakota as usual doesn't want to get wet.  We had a fun time.  They mostly rode the adult rides that spin.  Michelle took Keegan on the log ride.  They only went on the kids roller coaster, airplanes and elephants.  We went to the restaurant and had a nice meal although Dakota embarrassed his mom by burping throughout the meal.  Each of the kids took a picture of us. He drank a lot of root beer.  She made a new rule no pop when eating at sit down restaurants.  When we got home Keegan was already asleep for the night.  Dakota read me all of his books before bed time.  He is doing very well with three letter words. ryan_michelle1, ryan_michelle2, keegan1, keegan2, keegan3, keegan_mom1, keegan_mom2, keegan_dad1, keegan_dad2, dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota_mom1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan_mom1, dakota_keegan_mom2, dakota_keegan_mom3, dakota_keegan_dad1, dakota_keegan_dad2, dakota_dad1,

September 23rd,  2006 -  Dakota had his game first today.  They played against 8 year olds so were way overmatched.  They even let us have 5 players vs. 4.  I don't  think we scored a goal the whole game.  Dakota went in to be goalie and blocked 3 out of 4 shots.  He was also hustling down the field and had a lot of fun.  Keegan again was dribbling really well and scored three goals.  The other team had a few boys a bit bigger then Keegan that would push or pull kids down so Keegan cried a few times and wanted out of the game.  We started well but then the other team started playing really well and scored a lot during the second half. dakota_keegan_ramlee_syra_sydney_kyle1,

September 21st,  2006 -  Dakota worked on his homework tonight.  dakota1,

September 20th,  2006 -  Dakota and Keegan helped me set up the soccer field for Keegan's soccer practice.  We played the whole practice in pouring rain.  They had fun but towards the end Dakota started to say he was cold.

September 16th,  2006 -  It was Keegan's first soccer game today.  He was excited to play but when it came time to play he said he didn't want to play.  I finally got him in the game and he took the ball down the field and kicked for a goal.  But it went just left of the flag missing by an inch.  He did that two other times in the game.  He didn't play much more then 5 minutes out of 20.  Dakota did great in his game.  He saved two goals when he was the goalie.  He would of saved a third but was standing a bit too far back and stopped the ball just inches past the line.  When he played on the field he tripped over the ball and landed hard but got right back up and fought for the ball and stole it from the other team kicking towards the goal then he and Riley rushed down the field towards the goal with the ball and scored.  Dakota also had one of the best passes of the game when he passed to an open Hunter who took it downfield for a goal.  We only had 5 players and 4 play the whole game with 12 minute quarters so everyone got a lot of playing time.  When we got home from soccer the boys played on the computer with Nicholas and Kyle most of the early evening. dakota_keegan_jj_brandon_drew1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_ramli_hunter1, dakota_ramli_riley_brady1, dakota1, hunter1, keegan_adam_brandon1, keegan_adam_kaleb1, keegan_kaleb1, keegan_kaleb2, keegan1, keegan2, keegan's_team1, ramli_riley1,

September 15th,  2006 -  I wanted to walk Dakota to school this morning but he wanted a ride.  Keegan and I dropped him off and I parked two houses from the school.  I think that got him in a bad mood because he was quiet and had a scowl on his face.  But when his neighbor Nick arrived he lit up with a smile.  Keegan, Mom and I ran to school to pick him up.  Keegan ran almost to the end of Indiana but said he was getting tired so we ended up walking just as we met up with Kyle, Sydney and Kara on their way to school to pick up Nick.  The kids played all afternoon on the computer as usual. dakota_keegan_dad1,

September 13th,  2006 -  Dakota helped me coach Keegan's team tonight.  Practice didn't go so well at first.  The 4 year old's didn't quite know what to do when I tried to teach them the 3 on 3 game.  So we took a break and practiced kicking it in the goal.  The second attempt at playing 3 on 3 went a bit better. keegan1,

September 6th,  2006 -  Michelle took the boys to soccer tonight.  One of the other parents coached tonight and taught the kids the soccer stance.

September 5th,  2006 -  Dakota and I took Keegan to his first day of preschool without his brother at the same school.  He had a new cubby in the hall.  We picked Keegan up at school and came home.  The boys watched a bit of TV until the neighbors got home.  Then they played all afternoon.  They kept wanting to come in and play quake 3 but Kara kept coming over and telling them to all go play outside.  The boys took a bath and then wanted to get dressed in their dress clothes for our trip to Dakota's kindergarten class.  Dakota wore his black pants and black collared shirt with a blue tie.  Keegan wore his tan pants, blue shirt with a blue and yellow tie.  Michelle signed the volunteer sheet and the boys had juice and cookies we arrived at the school.  We saw the neighbors Dan, Kara, Kyle, Sydney and Nick out front and I invited them to go eat at Wild Noodles after we were done.  We made our way down to hall and found Mrs. Martins room.  We introduced ourselves.  The teacher told Dakota he could go and find his name at a table and then he could cut out a star, color it and write his name on it.  He quietly replied, "No I'm not going to do it."  She looked shocked.  We found his mailbox, coat rack and his seat.  He did sit down and color his star, write his name and cut it out.  He introduced himself to another student at the table and got more comfortable once we were there a while.  Keegan had fun taking out some blocks and playing with them while Dakota was busy.  Afterwards we met the neighbors at the restaurant.  The kids had fun and we all enjoyed the food.  We got home and they came over and watched the end of the Mariners game. Dan Byington sent a photo of his daughter Emma.

September 4th,  2006 -  The boys and I played baseball in the backyard while Michelle packed the car to go out to the lake.  Keegan sure likes running the bases and Dakota enjoys playing first base and waiting for my throw to first.  Keegan and Dakota went down to the dock with me when we got there.  They spent a bit of time casting with their poles but then headed to the cabin to play with Abby once she arrived.  After dinner, Von and I headed back to fish some more.  He started catching some small sunfish with worms off the bottom so I switched to worms and caught a sunfish then a big carp.  Dakota and Keegan came to fish a bit later.  Von had caught 3 sunfish and a catfish.  I caught a catfish.  Then Dakota and Keegan started fishing.  Dakota caught two catfish and Keegan caught a bigger carp then I had first caught.  Von caught another catfish but Papa lost it when he was putting it on the stringer.  Von caught a carp too but then the fish stopped biting.

Naomi wrote, "Today we all decided we would go fishing, and boy did we catch some fish! It was a nice day to be on the river and it was fun catching them. We were told that you get paid 3 or 4 dollars per fish for these white fish. We got pretty excited thinking that we were going to get paid for the fun we had in catching these fish. But, apparently these are pea mouth whitefish and they where supposed to be regular mouthed whitefish! Crazy! It was still fun though. August 30th,  2006 -  Michelle took the boys to the Garland Theater to watch Cars with Abby, Jenna and Nathan.  They all enjoyed the show.  Dakota and Keegan had their first soccer practice today. Keegan had a blast with his new teammates playing kick the coach.  It was raining so it was a short practice for his team.  Keegan and I then went and played with Dakota's team.  His new coach and kids were there as well as Ramlee and Hunter from last year's team.  This year Dakota's team plays 4 vs. 4 with one of them a goalie.  They practiced drills with them switching off at goalie.  Dakota caught a hard kicked shot by Ramlee.  He was very proud and happy about it.  Then they played 3 on 3 with a goalie.  Dakota and Keegan drove the ball down to the goal and Dakota kicked it in to score the first goal against Hunter and Ramlee.  Dakota then became the goalie for his team.  He caught and blocked three attempts in a row by Hunter and Ramlee.  Some pretty hard kicks.  Keegan got a turn at being the goalie and blocked a hard kick by Hunter but it hit him in the inner thigh and he started crying.

August 27th,  2006 -  Michelle and the boys went to the Coerde de' Lane Lake and swam in the lake and played on the beach. Vashti sent her link to her pictures.  http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=1QctWzVqzYuLA

August 26th,  2006 -  I took the boys to Cameron's birthday party down the street.  They had fun jumping in an air castle and dressing up in costumes ninja fighting.

August 25th,  2006 -  Michelle and the boys had their dentist appointment this morning.  It went well for them all.  The boys played with the neighbors all afternoon while Michelle laid out and got some sun.

August 22nd,  2006 -  I took Dakota and Keegan to the Central Valley Kindergarten Center on the way to school.  We were hoping to get Dakota in the morning class but we are 13th on the waiting list.  There are openings for the all day class but none for just mornings.

August 20th,  2006 -  Dakota tied his first knot today.  He was very proud and came downstairs to show me he had just showed his mom for the first time.  He was wearing his swim trunks and tied the knot for me with a big smile.  Kelly, Sean, Jackson and Tucker met us at our house and we all went out to Silverwood today.  We spent most of the day in the wave pool.  During the evening each of the boys picked a ride.  Keegan chose to ride the river ride.  Dakota chose the tilt a whirl.  Jackson chose the old cars and Tucker chose the log ride along with Keegan.

August 19th,  2006 -  The boys and I played catch during the morning and afternoon.  When Michelle got home she took them to Coeur d'Alene Lake and they went swimming and then out to dinner to Wingers.  The boys shared a big ice cream shake they enjoyed. dakota1, dakota2, keegan1, keegan2, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, kambria1,

August 11th,  2006 -  The boys spent most of the day playing with Sydney, Kyle and Nicholas.  Late afternoon Michelle and I took Dakota and Keegan for a walk down by the river.  We saw some people crawdad fishing so I went in the water and caught some too.  Keegan held one and put it in their bucket but Dakota wouldn't do it.  They had a little net so when I caught one they loaned it to the boys for me to put him in the net and then they both would dump it in their bucket.  Keegan got all wet walking and slipping on rocks in the water. Michelle fed a bunch of geese, ducks and seagulls while we were crawdad fishing.  When we got home I gave them a bath and Michelle cooked a nice dinner.

August 6th,  2006 -  This afternoon we all went to Liberty Lake park.  Keegan, Dakota and I played catch most of the time.  But during breaks Keegan ran through the sprinklers.  Michelle fixed a good dinner when we got home but Dakota still wanted to play catch so we did.  Keegan went sliding into the little pool then Dakota joined him a bit later.

August 4th,  2006 -  Dakota invited Ramli to go with us to the Spokane Indians baseball game tonight.  They played Vancouver.  We met Jenna, Von and Abby there.  The kids had fun holding up the K cards and eating hotdogs, nachos and ice cream.  They didn't pay much attention to the game.

August 2nd,  2006 -  I'd like to thank my cousin Chad for scanning a bunch of family photo's.  He has a nice website up with many photos of our family.  http://chadsummervill.com/Family_Album/Wesley_Millie/index.htm

July 29th,  2006 -  This morning Dakota wanted to play catch again so he Keegan and I went out in the backyard and played catch together.  Dakota really likes to practice catching fly balls.  He looked at me on one throw so I threw it to him and then he started looking at his glove and I yelled at him but it was too late and the ball hit him square on the forehead.  Keegan is getting a lot better at throwing the ball and pretty good at catching grounders.  He catches a few fly balls.  In the afternoon we headed out to Eastern Washington University to meet Kelly, Tucker and Jackson at the Seattle Seahawks first full day of training camp.  While we were waiting for them to arrive we watched Warren Moon drive by in his golf cart and Sean Alexander walk to the locker room.  The boys had fun playing in the kids park.  They threw some footballs, raced through air football fields and jumped in the air castle.  We went up on the hill and watched the team practice.  Nate Burleson caught some nice deep balls from Hasselbeck.  The boys then played football with each other.  Tucker and Jackson would kick off and Dakota and Keegan would run back the kick.  Then they switched. They had fun tackling each other and kicking the ball off.  They practiced running routes and throwing to each other.  No one caught any passes but they all threw pretty good. Dakota and Keegan each got their baseball hats autographed by #68 Tom Ashworth a backup offensive lineman.  He was nice enough to stop and spend the time signing their hats.  We all went to Safeway afterwards and Kelly bought the boys some popsicles.  They sat on his tailgate and got all messy. When we got home at about 630pm Keegan was asleep and slept all night.  I fixed Dakota supper and then we went outside and played catch again.  dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan_jackson_tucker1 dakota_keegan_jackson_tucker2 dakota_keegan_jackson_tucker3, dakota_keegan_kelly1, dakota_kelly1,   dakota_keegan_tucker1 dakota_keegan_tucker2 dakota_keegan_tucker3, jackson1, jackson_tackling_dakota_keegan_tucker1, jackson_tackling_keegan_dakota1, keegan1, keegan2, keegan_tackling_jackson_dakota1,

July 28th,  2006 -  Michelle took the boys to Silverwood Theme Park today.  They met Sean, Tucker, Jackson and Ashley there.  When they got home Dakota wanted to play catch with me so we went out back and I threw him some pop flies.  I asked him what he did at the park.  He replied,  "I was going to go on the log ride but I got scared.  So Keegan and I came back out and we couldn't find Mom."  "We cried then we talked to strangers".  Michelle had watched them step into the log boat and then she and Tucker walked to the exit of the ride about 30 yards away.  Dakota and Keegan had got into the boat with Ashley but then Dakota changed his mind and they got back out and walked through the line to the entrance where Michelle had just been.  She heard them calling and it took her a few minutes to make her way back.  But they all got their first missing child / mom scare.  Dakota and I played a game of quake 1 with Steve again before bed.  Dakota was laughing his butt off a few times as Steve was popping up like popcorn from a few of Dakota's rockets.  He flew across the room from a grenade blast that cracked Dakota up.  Dave Barnholt sent some pictures. aloria_reagan_dave_barnholt1, aloria_kyra_barnholt1, aloria_barnolt1,

July 26th,  2006 -  Dakota wanted to play catch after school but Michelle took the boys to visit a friend in Idaho for a bit then they went out to Naomi's and played on the trampoline with Chase.  Keegan said it was pretty fun and was explaining how Chase flips.

July 24th,  2006 -  Dakota woke up this morning and asked to play catch with the baseball after school.  He wanted to work on catching fly balls.  When Michelle brought them home from school we all went out to eat at Red Robin.  Then we came home and Dakota and I played catch.  He was catching many fly balls.  That was the first time he hasn't been scared of them.  I was pretty proud of him.  Keegan and I played catch with the football.  He started throwing some nice spirals.  Keegan wanted me to throw him in the pool like an airplane so I did that a few times then we started a fire and roasted marshmallows for a bit.

July 23rd,  2006 -  I went running this morning.  When I got back Dakota asked why I went without them.  So they got ready and we were all going to run a few blocks to the soccer field but they only made it about 5 houses before they wanted to walk.  We took a break then jogged the rest of the way.  They went and invited Ramli and Syra over.  We all walked home.  Then they played in the basement for a while before they went outside and swam.  Siti came over and we watched a movie after everyone ate lunch.  Later in the evening Michelle and I and the boys played kickball.  Keegan had been asking to play.  Nicholas, Sydney and Kyle got home from their vacation so joined in our game.  I went and worked a few hours and Michelle sat around the fire visiting with Dan and Kara after the kickball game ended.  When I got home from work Dakota was asking to play quake against Steve online again.

July 21st,  2006 -  Keegan was up at 6:15am and we put Hoodwinked in again for him.  After it was over the boys and I went down to the dock and fished for a bit.  Michelle came down to watch.  Dakota thought he had a few bites but nothing was biting except the horseflies getting me.  We went back to the cabin and Michelle fixed the boys waffles and I took a nap as they watched Hoodwinked a third time.  Then we all went down to the beach for a swim.  Michelle and I swam out to the dock but the boys wouldn't go.  They floated in their life jackets in water about to their nose.  We tried fishing after that but again no bites so headed home.  I posted some pictures under the dates January7, 2006, February 4th, 2006, April 18, 2006, April 22nd, 2006, October 25, 2005, October 30, 2005, November 2nd, 2005 and November 6th, 2005, June 1st, 2005, May 8th, 2005.

July 20th,  2006 -  After work we got packed and headed out to Papa and Grandma's cabin to spend the night.  The kids and I fished for about an hour but didn't catch anything.  I put spinners on their poles since we didn't bring worms.  It was the first time they used spinners.  Dakota did good.  Keegan was dangerous at times but by the end he was casting pretty far.  We didn't get any bites.  The only thing biting was the mosquitoes getting me.  We went back to the cabin and all watched Hoodwinked.

July 18th,  2006 -  Dakota played a game of quake 1 with me vs. Stinkin Steve.  He had a lot of fun and wanted to do it again the next night.

July 17th,  2006 -  Dakota's last t-ball game was today.  He had some nice hits and played left center field and first base.  His only chance at a grounder went through his legs.  After the game we stopped for ice cream at Dairy Queen.

July 16th,  2006 -  We went out to Papa and Grandma's cabin at Clear Lake.  Michelle and I took the boys out on their paddle boat and fished a bit.  I only hooked one but couldn't land him.  After supper the boys went swimming at the beach.  They went into the water up to their chins for the first time without their life jackets.  It was a fun day. dakota1, dakota2, dakota3keegan1, keegan2, keegan3, keegan4, keegan5, keegan6, tom_von_joan_tyler1, tom_papa1, tom_bonnie_tyler1, richie_lisa_von1, keegan_dad1, jeremy_jenna_abby1, jeremy_papa_joan_jenna_richie_tyler_tom1, jenna_richie1, jenna1, dakota_von1, dakota_keegan_jeremy1, dakota_keegan_jenna_bonnie1, dakota_keegan_dad_abby1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan4, dakota_jeremy1, dakota_abby1, bonnie_tyler1, abby1,

July 14th,  2006 -  The boys played with Nicholas, Sydney and Kyle during the morning.  Donovan called to see if he could come over.  So after lunch Keegan and Dakota spent a few hours playing with Donovan.  We went and picked them up and went to eat at Rocky Rocco's Pizza then went to Riverfront park.  We all rode on the carousel.  Then they went played on the wagon slide for a few minutes then watched a few guys catch crawdads.  I went in the river and caught one.  They didn't want to hold it at first then Keegan was going to carry it down and put it in the bucket of the guys fishing for them.  He dropped it so I helped him pick it up.  Dakota wouldn't' carry it but only touch it.  Then we went to the water fountain and let the kids run through it.   The boys had fun and ended the night with a sno cone and headed home to watch Scooby-Doo.

July 12th,  2006 -  Michelle had a flat tire so I had to take off her tire and she took the kids to school and dropped off the tire to get it fixed. Pappy, Grandma, Drew and Jaymie left this morning.  I took Dakota to his t-ball game after work.  Michelle and Keegan stayed home.  Dakota played second base.  The first hit of the game was a grounder to him and he did an excellent job fielding it and throwing to first.  The runner was safe since the first basemen was bobbling it.  He fielded another ground ball during the first inning and waited for the first basemen to get to first and turn around for the ball.  The runner was faster then the first basemen.  Dakota made another good throw.  Dakota didn't get to bat the first inning.  He caught another grounder in the second making a good throw to first.  Although he could of tagged out the runner as he got the ball.  He didn't cover second when the ball was hit to him.  His first at bat was a hard hit ball to the second basemen and he ran hard to first and was safe.  He made it all the way home. The game was called due to thunder and lightning. dakota_keegan_jaymie_drew1, dakota_keegan_mom_dad1, dakota_keegan_mom_dad2, dakota_keegan_mom_dad3, drew1, grandma_pappy_ryan1, pappy_jaymie1,

July 11th,  2006 - We got up and got ready to go to Silverwood Theme Park.  Grandma made a yummy breakfast of pancakes and eggs.  We all went to the water park first.  Dakota, Keegan and Michelle stayed at the wave pool.  Pappy and Grandma took some time around the lazy river with Jaymie.  Drew and I went on a big water slide.  Then Drew and I went to the tube slides and did that a few times when Jaymie joined us.  Dakota wouldn't go with me.  Keegan finally decided he wanted to so we stood in line but when it was our turn the girl measured him and he was too short.  He cried for a bit.  I stayed with him and Dakota as Michelle, Jaymie and Drew went down the slide a few times.  Michelle took the boys back to the wave pool.  I took Drew and Jaymie to get a hot dog with Grandma and Pappy.  Then Dakota and Keegan came back and ate some hot dogs.  Drew, Keegan and I went down the lazy river for a bit then Jaymie and Pappy joined us.  Michelle and Dakota were playing in the wave pool.  Pappy lost his Navrat Service lighter in the lazy river so we had to go back and look for it with Jaymie's help.  Luckily I found it just before the bridge.  As soon as we left the water park Keegan fell asleep in the stroller.  It was just around 5pm so we stopped in at the magic show.  The kids each had a slice of pizza and we all watched a very good Nick Norton magic show.  Keegan snoozed the whole time.  We went to the rides and I woke Keegan up at the tilt a wirl.  Dakota, Drew and I went on it and Michelle, Jaymie and Keegan went in another car.  Then Grandma took Keegan and Dakota driving some cars while Drew and Jaymie went on one.   Michelle, Drew and Jaymie all went on a roller coaster.  The first one that Drew and Jaymie have been on that went up side down.  Next I took Keegan and Drew on a spinning ride while Michelle took Jaymie and Keegan.  We all went on the down the river in the rapids except Michelle and Dakota.  Keegan loves that ride.  Grandma seemed to get the wettest.  Keegan sure did have a big smile and laughed most of the way!  Michelle and Dakota bought some balls to shoot at kids in a boat.  Keegan and I arrived as they were starting.  Dakota didn't want to shoot at them because they had a water cannon in the boat shooting at anyone shooting from the land.  However he wanted to stand right there and watch.  So I loaded the balls while Keegan shot at the boat.  Dakota had a blast cheering Keegan on and trying to duck when the water was shot at us.  He got nailed in the face a few times and hit more often then Keegan.  Michelle and Pappy took Drew and Jaymie on a roller coaster as Keegan, Dakota and I went on a small kids circlular elephant ride as Grandma watched.  Then Keegan, Drew and Pappy went on the log ride and Michelle, Jaymie and I went on another log ride.  Michelle and Pappy took Drew and Jaymie back to the Tremors roller coaster.  So I took Keegan and Dakota to ride the little kids roller coaster.  It was a good thing we didn't wait because the park was closing.  Dakota wanted to ride in the front of the roller coaster.  I talked the attendant into letting us do one more ride so he could do that.  Dakota drove and Keegan and I sat in the caboose.  dakota_keegan_dad1, ryan1, pappy1, michelle_keegan_jaymie1, keegan_drew_dad1, keegan_dad2, jaymie_michelle1, grandma_drew_keegan_dad_jaymie_pappy1, grandma_drew_keegan_dad_jaymie_pappy2, grandma_drew_keegan_dad_jaymie_pappy3, grandma_drew_keegan_dad_jaymie_pappy4, grandma_drew_keegan_dad_jaymie_pappy5, drew1, drew2, dakota_keegan_drew1, dakota_keegan_drew2, dakota_keegan_drew3, dakota_keegan_drew4, dakota_keegan_drew5, dakota_keegan_dad2, dakota_drew_jaymie1, dakota_dad_drew1, dakota1, dakota2,

July 10th,  2006 - Michelle had to work today.  Pappy, Grandma, Drew, Jaymie, Dakota, Keegan and I all went north of town to go to Cattails which has exotic animals that they have saved from private owners.  When we arrived it happened to be the one day they were closed.  So we all went to Wonderland an arcade, miniature golf and race car park.  First we drove the race cars.  Keegan and I were in one car, Drew and Jaymie each had their own car and Dakota went with Pappy.  Keegan and I lapped them all two to three times except Drew and Dakota.  I barely was able to catch him and it took quite some time to lap them.  I finally was able to do it when we got to Jaymie.  After that I took Dakota in my car, Grandma was with Jaymie and Drew and Keegan were in a car.  Dakota and I had a hard time lapping Drew but finally got him again when we got close to Jaymie.  This time they wiped out.  The attendant had to come and start Drew's car and get Jaymie headed in the right direction.  Once we finished our second race the kids went miniature golfing.  Keegan wanted my help hitting up a ramp into a castle.  I helped him and he got a hole in one!  He was so excited he wanted to do it again but this time hit by himself and he got a hole in one again!!  Dakota, Keegan and Drew all got holes in one on another hole on the course too.  After they got done with the outdoor course they all went inside and did an indoor course.  Dakota doesn't wait for anyone and golfs a head of the others.  After golfing they climbed in the tunnels for a bit then used their tokens on games.  We were running out of time so went back to the race track.  Dakota and Drew raced Jaymie and Keegan for two races.  They all enjoyed racing that day.  Pappy even went and batted in the batting cages something he said he hasn't done since 1989.  We drove home and Grandma cooked us all steak.  Then we headed to Dakota's T-ball game.  He had some nice hits and played third base to start the game then left field.  He got on base each time he went to bat. ryan1, ryan2, pappy_jaymie1, keegan_jaymie2, keegan_jaymie1, keegan_jaymie_drew_grandma1, keegan_dad_drew_jaymie_grandma1, keegan1 keegan_dad_drew_jaymie_grandma2, keegan_dad_drew1, keegan_dad1, jaymie1, jaymie2, jaymie3, grandma_jaymie1, drew_jaymie1, drew_jaymie2, drew1, drew2, dakota_pappy_drew1, dakota_pappy1, dakota_keegan_dad_pappy1, dakota_keegan_dad_drew_jaymie1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_drew_dad1, dakota_drew_dad2, dakota_drew1, dakota_dad_keegan_drew_grandma_jaymie1, dakota_dad1, dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota4, dakota5, dakota6, dakota7, dakota8, dakota9, dakota10, dakota11, dakota12, dakota13, dakota14

July 9th,  2006 - I was going to have Dakota show pappy how he could hit but Keegan was more excited to show him what he could do.  We went out and started a game of t-ball with Drew, Pappy, Dakota.  Everyone had a good time.   Jaymie was out helping Michelle pick up the cake and last minute items.  When they got home Pappy, Grandma and I ran to the store to pick up a toy for the cake that was not given to us.  We got back just as everyone was arriving.  Michelle had cooked Papa Murphy pizza's.  Some of the kids were already playing in the two small pools I had set up and the slip n slide.  Keegan had invited a few friends from school, Donovan and his brother Cameron and their Dad Andrew came.  Jonas and Jamison and their mom Jessica also came.  Our Neighbors Dan, Kara, Nicholas, Sydney, and Kyle and Josh, June and Simon.  A neighbor boy Seth came along with our friends from Idaho Steve, Katherine, Tyler and Sara.  Relatives Papa Jim, Grandma Joann, Uncle Von, Aunt Jenna, cousin Abby, Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Cassie, Aunt Naomi, cousin Chase, Pappy and Grandma Navrat, cousins Drew and Jaymie and our friends Kelly, Sean and Ashley all came.  Michelle did a great job setting up the party and surprising me with my the visit from Mom and Dad, Drew and Jaymie.  It was really a nice time.  The kids had fun playing all afternoon.  During the evening we got a kick ball game going with Michelle, Sean, Kelly, Dakota, Keegan, Drew, Jaymie, Ashley and Pappy.  Ramli, Syra and Simon watched Chicken Little inside.  We did get Ramli to play for a short time but he missed his mom and was wore out from the long day.  The birthday boys team won 24 to 19 which included of Ashley, Jaymie and Sean.  We took a break and Keegan came out with a airplane that gets launched from a toy pistol.  Jaymie, Drew, Simon, Ramli and Dakota and Keegan played with that until it got stuck on the roof.  Ramli and Syra went home then we started a fire and Michelle helped the kids make smores.  It was a long filled fun day with many activities.  The kids went in to watch Kicking and Screaming and all but Jaymie were asleep in minutes. dakota_keegan_seth_donovan_cameron_simon_drew1, chase_jenna_abby1bday_group1, bday_group2, bday_group3, bday_group4, bday_group5bday_group6, bday_group7, bday_group8, bday_group9, bday_group10, bday_group11, bday_group12bday_group13bday_group14bday_group15, bday_group16, bday_group17, bday_group18, bday_group19bday_group20, dakota_dad1, dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota_donovan_drew_ramli_tyler_sara_kyle1, dakota_drew1, dakota_drew_donovan_ashley_sean_cameron1, dakota_drew_jonas1, dakota_drew_jonas2, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan_drew_donovan_ashley1, dakota_keegan_drew_seth_nicholas1, dakota_keegan_seth_donovan_cameron_simon_drew1, dakota_keegan_seth_donovan_jamison_simon1, drew_michelle_jessica1, grandma1, grandma_ryan1, jaymie_michelle_jessica_simon_ryan_kelly_sean1, jeremy_cassie_abby_naomi_chase_kelly1, jonas_donovan_drew_ramli1, keegan1, keegan2, keegan3, keegan4, keegan_ashley_kyle1, keegan_dakota_drew_donovan_seth_cameron_jamison1, keegan_dakota_drew_donovan_seth_cameron_jamison_simon1 keegan_jamison_donovan_cameron_seth_simon1, keegan_kyle1, keegan_kyle_drew_donovan_sara_sydney_ashley_jaymie1, keegan_open_presents1, keegan_open_presents2, keegan_open_presents3keegan_simon1, keegan_simon_donovan_tyler1, keegan_simon_kyle1, keegan_simon_michelle_jessica1, keegan_simon_seth1 keegan_simon_michelle_jessica_kelly_seth1,   keegan_sydney_simon_kyle_kelly_dan1, keegan_sydney_simon_kyle_tyler1, keegan_syra_sydney_simon_abby_kyle_sara1, keegan_tyler_sara1, kelly_naomi_joan_abby_jenna_von_cassie_steve1, kickball1, kickball2, kickball3, kickball4, michelle_jessica1, michelle_kelly_katherine_pappy_grandma_ashley1, pappy1, ramli_drew_donovan_josh1, ryan1, ryan2, ryan_ashley1, ryan_dakota_ashley_jonas_jaymie_june_nicholas_donovan1, ryan_grandma_jaymie1, ryan_kelly1, ryan_kelly_ashley_simon_dakota1, ryan_michelle1, ryans_40th_cake1, simon_cameron_jamison_seth_keegan_nicholas_jonas_sydney_kelly_ashley1, sydney_simon_syra_keegan_kyle_kelly_philip_pappy_dan1, von_abby1, Here are some pictures of Nathan and my cousin Kay Lynn's new baby girl. addison_grace1, nathan_kaylynn_addison1, addison_grace_kaylynn1,

"Hello All,

I'm sending this note to announce our beautiful new daughter. Her name is Addison Grace and was born on July 6 at 4:37 a.m. For those that like stats she was

7 lb 7 oz and 20 inches long. No measurement on the hair but she has plenty.

Labor and delivery went very well (it wasn't painful for me anyway) KayLynn did a great job and both mother and baby are doing very well.

Thank you to all who have called, visited, and been so supportive. I know many have called and left messages that we have not returned. We will do so soon, I look forward to talking to many of you.

Proud Papa,

Nathan"

July 8th,  2006 - The kids kept wanting to play with the neighbors this morning.  They ended up waking up Simon around 10am.  But Josh said he could come over later around 4pm after they got back from shopping.  Nicholas, Sydney and Kyle came over for a few minutes but their mom came over and made them go home to visit their cousins who are here for a day all the way from Germany.  They tried to sneak back over around noon but were again taken home.  Keegan and Dakota wanted to do something so I took them to Liberty Lake park and they played on the playground equipment and ran through the sprinklers.  Keegan let the bucket of water drop on his head for the first time.  Dakota learned how to climb up a pole for the first time today!  On the way home we stopped at Taco Bell to eat.  We got home and sat down at the table when the doorbell rang.  I went to answer the door and to our surprise it was Pappy, Grandma, Drew and Jaymie!  By the pictures it looks like Michelle took the everyone down to Manito Park. I had to work shortly after they arrived. dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie1, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie2, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie3, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie4, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie5, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie6, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie7, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie8, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie9dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie_grandma1, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie_grandma2, dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie_grandma_kyle1dakota_keegan_drew_jaymie_simon1, drew_jaymie1, keegan_drew_jaymie1, drew1, drew2,

July 5th,  2006 - Keegan stayed home with Michelle while I took Dakota to his t-ball game.  He played short stop tonight for a few innings then center field.  He had two grounders get by him at short and one while playing center but caught the a nice grounder at short and threw nice to first.  He still doesn't move much to go get the ball.  He is pretty excited to get to bat now.  His first hit was a hard hit grounder past second base into the outfield.   His second at bat was another grounder but right at the pitcher.  He hesitated after he hit and was thrown out barely.  He got on base his last at bat.  We got his pictures today.  They turned out really nice.

July 4th,  2006 - We were going to go to Silverwood today.  But Dakota woke up throwing up.  It looks to be a little cloudy and windy so it might not be the best weather.

July 3rd,  2006 - Dakota and Keegan played with Nicholas, Sydney, Kyle and Seth all day long.  They swam  a bit at Nicholas's house and had lunch there.  We had roast for dinner then the boys watched Leroy and Stitch.  Michelle laid down and watched the show with them since she got sick.  It wasn't my cooking. :) When the show got over Dakota wanted me to pitch to him some more and he ran the bases.  Josh, June and Simon came over after dark and we shot off a few fireworks.  The kids had fun with mourning glories.  dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota_keegan_simon1, keegan_simon1, dakota_simon_josh1, keegan1, keegan2, keegan3, simon1,

July 2nd,  2006 - Michelle and the boys spent the day playing in the pool and hanging out in the backyard.  During the evening Dakota and I played baseball.  I pitched to him and he practiced batting.  Keegan saw us playing so came out and helped in the outfield catching the balls and throwing it to me to get Dakota out when he ran the bases.  Michelle came out and joined in and she and Keegan took turns batting while Dakota played first and I played outfield.  Keegan wanted to hit off the tee and he wanted Michelle to run the bases for him.  dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2,

June 30th,  2006 - The kids played with the neighbor kids all day.  They swam, sword fought, played with Spiderman and hulk toys.  dakota_keegan_neighbors1, dakota_keegan_neighbors2, dakota_keegan_neighbors3, dakota_keegan_neighbors4,

June 28th,  2006 - After I got home from work I showed Dakota and Keegan how to bat and they practices Keegan their elbow up and turning their hips and stepping into the swing.  Both of them had improved at bats.  Dakota was hitting some nice long fly balls.  He really worked on keeping the elbow up and the bat straight and had good form.  Keegan's form wasn't as good but he really was swinging the bat well, better then I've seen him in the past.  We went to the game and they were practicing batting before the game so Dakota had a good hit.  Then I pitched to him and he was having some really nice hits.  During the game he played catcher.  He doesn't like that much since the mask and helmet weigh him down and he can't see.  His first at bat he hit a fly ball over the pitcher's head and into the outfield between first and second base.  His second at bat he didn't get as good a hit but it still went over the pitcher's head landing near 2nd and rolling into the outfield.  Naomi sent some pictures. jeremy_cassie_naomi_papa1, jeremy_cassie_naomi_papa2, jeremy_naomi_larry_papa1, jeremy_cassie1, larry1, naomi_papa1, jeremytatto1,

June 26th,  2006 - Dakota played a few innings of 1st base at T-ball tonight.  He wasn't paying attention after the ball was hit so it was lucky he wasn't getting hit by the ball. He played against his soccer teammate Nicholas.  Michelle took a few pictures of them when Nick was playing third base and Dakota was on third.  dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota4, dakota5, dakota6, dakota_nicholas1, dakota_nicholas2,

June 24th,  2006 - Keegan and Dakota played outside all day long today.  I moved some bushes from the backyard to the front yard then went to the store and got some rock for a path from the neighbors gate to our yard.  June watched the boys and Simon play in the pool.  When I got home Nick, Sydney and Kyle were over too playing in the pool.

June 23rd,  2006 - Michelle and I took the kids to Silverwood theme park with Sean, Ashley, Tucker and Jackson.  Dakota rode the Tremors big roller coaster with Michelle!  I bought the pictures when he went down the big dip. His head was buried in Michelle's arm pit.  He said it was scary, but he was the one who said he wanted to go on it.  He didn't ride any of the water rides, like the log ride or river ride.  Keegan loved the river raft ride!  We went to the water park.  All the kids loved the wave pool.

June 20th,  2006 - Michelle got called to come pick up the kids since Keegan had diarrhea.  They went and got a chrome muffler tip put on my car.  I got home about 845pm.  Keegan was asleep but Dakota was waiting up for me and wanted me to take him to the store to return a dvd movie.  So we went to the store and I came back and read him a book.  He wanted to fall asleep in Mom's bed so I let him do that.  I started going through some old email and it looks like I had some pictures to post.  I posted some from Jan 29th and 30th, 2005!!! So I'm a bit behind.

June 19th,  2006 - Neal and Christine posted some pictures of their beautiful little girl, Lauren today on their webpagelauren1, lauren2, lauren3, lauren4, lauren_christine1, Dakota had T-ball tonight.  Michelle stayed home since she wasn't feeling too good.  Keegan talked to Coach Kyle, Hunter and Sarah from our soccer team during warm up.  Dakota played third base and caught two ground balls racing back to third to force the runner out but it was a tie both times so the runner was safe.  He hit two nice hard hits one right at 2nd base and one between first and second.  His team played Hunter's team and a few kids on that team were from our team last year, Anna and Erica twin sisters, Mitchell and possibly one or two others.  When the boys got home they invited Simon over to play for an hour or so.

June 18th,  2006 - We had a very nice day today.  Keegan cooked me pancakes for breakfast with Mom.  Dakota and I slept a bit later then them.  Then went down to eat.  The boys played with Nick, Sydney and Kyle during the morning.  Michelle got the small pool out and let them run through the sprinkler.  In the afternoon we went out to Papa and Grandma's cabin and went fishing.  The boys fished with me when we got there but got bored and went back to the cabin once Michelle walked down to get them.  Dakota had a small nibble.  Papa decided to try Keegan's pole and threw it in the water by accident so I got to catch it.  I wrapped my string around it several times while it was sinking.  Once he got it untangled I finished reeling in and caught a fish but as it got to the dock it jumped in the air and got itself lose.  Just before we went to eat dinner I hooked another one but again couldn't land it.  We had a nice dinner of steak, potatoes and noodles with Von, Jenna, Abby, Jeremy, Cassie and Papa and Grandma.  Papa and Von took the boys out for a boat ride after supper.  When we got home Michelle gave them a quick bath.  I tucked them into bed but a bit later Dakota came downstairs and watched about 30 minutes of the Pink Panther with me.  I just got him to bed when I got a text message from Neal telling us they were new parents!  Congratulations Neal and Christine that is great news.  The link to the Mt Sinai baby page is here, but Neal and Christine will have to let us know the password before we can view the picture. Michelle was just commenting on the way out to the lake today that she thought this would be the day they had their baby.  At least on pacific time she was right.  Nadine sent some pictures which I posted on May 24th, 28th and April 2nd. dakota_keegan_abby1, dakota_keegan_abby2, ryan1,

June 17th,  2006 - The boys played with Nick, Sydney and Kyle all day.  I made them lunch, pizza, cantaloupe and strawberries.  Dakota and Keegan helped me dig a hole and clear out the rocks.  I moved the Thundercloud Plum tree closer to the patio so that we would a larger open field for the kids to play soccer, baseball and football in the future.

June 16th,  2006 - We sat around the fire for a bit tonight., dakota_keegan_mom1,

June 12th,  2006 - Michelle and I took the boys to T-ball tonight.  Dakota's first at bat was a hard hit line drive to the pitcher.  Nobody knows how he caught it but the little kid did.  Dakota ran hard to first and it was such a nice hit it was too bad he was out.  Dakota played a few innings at 3rd tonight but didn't have any chance to make any plays in the field.  He did get on base his other at bats but he was the 9th batter that inning and they stop at 10 so he didn't get a chance to make it home.

June 10th,  2006 - I took the boys to Dakota's baseball pictures.  Then we headed out to Kelly's to help him pour cement for his driveway, walk and patio's.  The boys played with Ashley, Tucker and Jackson.  Later in the afternoon when we were all done they all went in the hot tub.  They had a fun day and were sleeping a mile into the drive home.

June 9th,  2006 - Michelle and I took the kids to Silverwood theme park.  We all had a good time.  The juggling show was so good we watched it again.  Actually we thought we were going to a magic show the second time around and didn't want to walk out in his performance.  But the kids did enjoy watching it again.  Keegan was so excited to go to  the water park but it didn't open until the 10th.  They had a very good time.  Michelle took them on one of the big circle rides and they really enjoyed that.  I took them on the tilt of whirl once and then Michelle did too.  Dakota didn't want to go on the log ride because he remembers getting wet.  He picked the bumper boats where we spray people.  That surprised me but he was excited to go on it so we all did.  He rode with me and Keegan rode with Michelle.  We all got soaked but had fun.  Next we went to the log ride.  Dakota still didn't want to go on it but we made him.  We went down the big drop and didn't get wet.  Dakota had a big smile on his face and was yelling yea we didn't get wet, that was great and then someone slipped in a quarter and the spray drenched us.  Michelle and I were cracking up because we were all surprised and forgot about that part.  Dakota had this big sad, mad scowl on his face with water dripping down.  Keegan loved it and he and I went on it again.  Dakota and Michelle tried to get us wet with the one quarter she had but they timed the spray wrong and missed us.

June 7th,  2006 - Dakota played a great game of baseball today!  He played second base and caught two ground balls in a row and got the force out at second.  He hit well too and made it on base and scored 3 runs for the game.  Keegan had fun playing on the playground equipment with Michelle.

June 5th,  2006 - Dakota had his first t-ball game today.  He played left and right field.  He got out once but got on base each of his other at bats.  Keegan and I played catch a bit while he was playing and he batted too until Josh and Simon came to watch the game.  Then Josh took Keegan and Simon to play on the playground equipment.

June 4th,  2006 - Ashley took all the boys swimming again Sunday morning after breakfast.  Keegan gave us a scare since we were all leaving the swimming pool and heading back to the rooms to change we turned around and he was gone.  We finally found him a few minutes later.  He had walked down to the elevator and took it ahead of us up to the second floor by himself.  We checked out of the hotel and went across the street to the Fun Center.  The kids played in a tube, tunnel, slide play area for a bit and then played token games.  Keegan wanted to go on the water bumper boats so Michelle took him to that while I took Dakota miniature golfing.  He said he got a hole in one when I was over taking a picture of Keegan and Michelle.  I saw him sink a few balls in two strokes.  Jackson got a hole in one while I was watching them.  Dakota sure likes to golf.  Keegan went on a trampoline.  Then we all had pizza for lunch.  We went out to race the go carts.  Michelle took Keegan in her car.  I took Dakota and Asley and Kelly each drove.  Dakota and I passed 4 cars during the race and almost lapped Ashley and Kelly but they stopped the race just as we caught up too them.  Dakota had a blast!  He was yelling, "Whoo hoo, Yah, woo hoo, at each corner and as we passed people.  After that I missed a lot of 40mph pitches in the batting cages so Kelly had to show me how it was done.  It turns out Ashley and Michelle were a lot better then I too.  The boys played some more tokens as Ashley, TJ, Carly, Kelly and I went and played a game of laser tag.  Our green team beat the red team.  I had the most points with 40,000 to the next closest people in the game around 25,000, of which most were all on our team.  It was a pretty fun time.  We didn't leave Seattle until around 6pm. keegan1,

June 3rd,  2006 - We got up early and ate at the hotel.  Dakota and Keegan went swimming with Tucker, Jackson and Ashley.  Around noon we headed to the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma.  The boys had a good time.  Keegan wanted to go to the slide right away and play in the play area but we all went to see the walrus, sea otters, and Dakota's favorite the beluga whales.  After that we saw polar bears napping, some reindeer and wolves on our way to the play area to let the kids play.  After our break we went and saw a show and Dakota and Keegan each gave a parrot a dollar and the bird put it in a plastic slot in a container.  We then went to find the sharks which were really cool since we were in an underground area looking at them through the glass.  After the zoo we went north through Seattle and had dinner at Kelly's cousin's.  The kids had fun running around in their backyard then playing air hockey and foosball in the house. keegan1, keegan2, dakota1, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan_walrus1, dakota_keegan_jackson1, dakota_keegan_dad1, dakota_keegan_dad2, dakota_keegan_dad3, dakota_keegan_ashley_tucker1, ashley_tucker1 dakota_keegan_ashley_tucker_jackson1, buluga_whale1,

June 2nd,  2006 - This morning we got up and got on the road to Seattle.  We met the Lackner's around Medical Lake and drove with them.  We all stopped at the Columbia River and spent and hour and half eating lunch and letting the kids play around the river bank.  We arrived at our hotel around 4pm and checked in then left right away for the Royals vs. Mariners.  Huy Hoang a buddy of mine from our Quake 1 HOPw clan met us outside the stadium and Kelly's brother TJ  and wife Carly met us inside by our seats.  We sat in rows 32 and 33 in Left Field.  We got to watch the Royals warm up for batting practice.  I had my glove and the catcher Jason Buck hit a homer right to the edge of our seats over the pitching pen.  I stuck my glove out and it hit my glove but the guy in the one row in front of me stuck up his hat and got it between the ball and my glove and plucked it right back out of my glove.  What was worse he wasn't even supposed to be in that row he was just standing there watching and waiting for homers.  We had a pretty good time.  The kids all got cotton candy right away and scarfed it down.  Sean took them to a play area during batting practice and Michelle did for a bit during the game.  Around the 7th inning Michelle, TJ and Carly were just leaving their seats when the crowd roared as Javy Lopez's home run came sailing over the wall and landed right on the seat next to the isle.  Michelle was cringing and turning away from the ball as everyone in the area was scrambling to get it.  TJ reached down to grab it off the ground but the guy in that isle stuck his butt out and TJ got a face full of butt instead of getting to the ball since he was blocked from it.  The very next hit was a homer by Raul Ibanez to the right field which I never saw since I was laughing at Michelle's reaction and giving her crap for not going after the ball.  Now she doesn't think it was silly of me to bring my ball glove to the stadium.  After the game Michelle and Sean took the kids back to the hotel.  TJ, Carly, Kelly, Huy and I walked up to Cowgirls Inc a bar that is simliar to Coyote Ugly type atmosphere and had a few beers and played a game of pool.  It was too noisey so I suggested we go find a quiet bar with pool tables and darts.  We were lucky enough to find one a few blocks up and over a block.  We all had a good time playing each other in darts.  Kelly was the champion.  Huy and I took on Kelly and TJ in pool a few games but lost to them in that also.

June 1st,  2006 - I took the kids to school at 9am and picked them up after they ate lunch at noon.  We stopped at Wal-mart on the way home and I happened to pick up a slip and slide.  We set it up and Nicholas, Sydney and Kyle saw us and came over and joined in.  The kids had fun and played in the yard all afternoon.  When Michelle got home the kids went over to the neighbors to play and she and I went and renewed our driver's licenses.  We got invited over to have hamburgers by Dan and Kara.  After supper the kids played inside their house and watched Superman.

May 30th,  2006 - Dakota had his first baseball practice today.  We went and met his team.  They ran the bases and that was basically the whole practice besides walking to each position on the field.  So he played on the playground equipment with Keegan for a bit then we all took turns batting and pitching to each other.  Dakota has been hitting the ball good.  I started pitching overhand too him and he has been making good contact.

May 29th,  2006 - Michelle painted the bedroom wall today.  Dakota and Keegan wanted to paint so they got out the paints to paint a picture.  Dakota said, "Sorry Dad I don't want to be a police officer anymore.  I want to be an artist like Pappy".  Keegan replied, "I want to be a power ranger".  Dakota said, "You can protect us then".  Dakota painted a purple picture for Pappy.  I took the boys to McDonald's for ice cream and to play on the tunnel gym.  They had a fun time.  When we got home they played with the neighbor kids. dakota_keegan1, dakota1, keegan1,

May 28th,  2006 - We spent the day inside since it was raining.  We watched the Indy 500.  During the evening the rain let up and the boys and I along with Josh and Simon sat outside around the fire. dakota_keegan_ryan_simon_josh1, keegan1, kent_nadine_kelsie1, kelsie_nadine1, kent_kelsie1, kent_kelsie2, kent_kelsie3, kent_kelsie4, kent_kelsie5, kelsie1,

May 26th,  2006 - Michelle got the video game set up for the boys and they played a bit of dig dug, and space games on the TV. dakota1, dakota2, keegan1,

May 21st,  2006 - The boys were up early and played in the pool again with the neighbors but mostly played over at their house.  In the afternoon we all went out to Post Falls to look at the river, rock climb and play in the park.  On our way home we stopped for lunch.  The boys played with the neighbor kids in the backyard.  Then Simon and the boys came inside and played and watched Scoobie Doo. dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan_dad1, dakota_keegan_mom1, dakota_mom1, keegan1, keegan_mom1, keegan_mom2, michelle1,

May 20th,  2006 - It was pouring rain all morning.  It started to let up just as we left for soccer.  We did get a good downpour in the 3rd quarter of the game so we all got pretty wet.  It was raining so hard the boys slowed down and weren't sure if they should keep playing.  Keegan got in the game for about 5 minutes and had fun passing the ball and trying to steal it from the other team.  It was our last game and we got whooped but did score 3 goals.  The only problem it was for the other team.  Christian scored first, he was trying to kick it away from our goal and it just sneaked in by the edge of their goal flag.  Dakota did the same thing almost saving a goal but  again right at the edge of the flag and finally Cameron matched the other two boys.  Dakota did a few good defensive plays going in and taking the ball away.  He tricked a boy when he was dribbling and got around him once.  After soccer we headed north to Jonas and Jamison's house for Jonas birthday party.  They are at Dakota and Keegan's school.  Dakota made Jonas a birthday card. He wrote all the words, "Happy Birthday Jonas.  From Dakota and Keegan."  Then he drew a picture of Hayden another boy from school who went to the birthday party too.  He drew a stick boy then used brown and drew a tornado over him and his invisible mom who both got sucked up into it.  ryan_hunter1, ryan_hunter_christian1, payton_christian1, dakota_keegan_payton1,

May 19th,  2006 - The kids played with the neighbors all day.  They swam a lot.

May 18th,  2006 - After work today I filled up the pool and put it under the slide.  It wasn't that warm but Keegan ran in and got his swimsuit on.  Sydney, Kyle and Nicholas saw them outside and they all ended up in the pool.

May 17th,  2006 - Michelle took Dakota and Keegan to soccer practice.  She was impressed with their dribbliing and passing.  Coach Kyle did a start and stop drill and Keegan took 2nd out of all the kids! After soccer they stayed and played with Ramli and Syra.  I got home and Keegan wanted me to set up the swimming pool and go play outside but it was just getting dark so I told him tomorrow.

May 16th,  2006 - Keegan was excited after school today and was telling his teacher that he was going to his cousin Abby's to play.  They went over and had pizza, played outside and watched a movie.

May 14th,  2006 - Dakota woke up and went downstairs and said, "Happy Mother's Day", to Michelle.  Keegan is still sleeping at 930am!! I leave for Olympia in a few hours for training so Papa will take the kids to school all week.  Dakota told Michelle she had to go back to bed since she woke up before us.  He wants to make pancakes and eggs and give them to her in bed.  Dakota made the pancakes and eggs and carried up her pancake.  Keegan was awake and getting dressed so he wanted to help too.  Keegan carried her egg up to her. dakota_mom1, dakota1, keegan1, dakota_keegan_mom1, dakota_keegan_kyle_sydney1, dakota_keegan_kyle_sydney_nicholas1,

May 13th,  2006 - It was a nice sunny day today with no wind.  The boys and I went their soccer game.  Dakota wasn't as aggressive in this game.  He did have a chance to score but kicked for the goal a little too far away and missed.  If he would of only dribbled to it since he was in front of the rest of the kids.  He did do a nice pass back into the middle of the field in front of the goal and Nicholas had a chance to score but didn't. When we got home the boys went over to the neighbors for Sidney and Kyle's birthday party. They had a fun time.  Simon went over too and the kids played from around 3pm to 7pm.  Michelle gave Simon and the boys a bath and just as they were finishing up the Lackner's came over.  I made a fire in the backyard and we all sat around visiting.  dakota_keegan_simon1, dakota_keegan_simon_seth_nicholas1, bday1, bday2,

May 12th,  2006 - Keegan, Dakota and I went to the golf course around noon today.  This was Keegan's first time.  Dakota is pretty good with holding the clubs the right way and gets some nice hits.  Keegan still is learning.  We hit two large buckets of balls.  They must of got tired towards the end because both boys started practicing pitching.  Michelle finally finished painting the living room, hall and kitchen today.  dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan4, keegan1, keegan2,

May 11th,  2006 - I dropped the kids off to school about 9am and found out it was a Mother's day brunch so I had to stay and eat with the boys.  I went to a golf store and finally found Keegan some left handed clubs.  I picked the boys up around noon and we came home.  They played with the neighbor kids Sydney, Kyle and Nicholas all afternoon.

May 10th,  2006 - We had soccer practice tonight.  Keegan played a bit with the team.  He really knows how to dribble the ball but hasn't got into passing to teammates.  Dakota is coming along pretty good with his aggressiveness towards taking the ball from the opposing team.

May 7th,  2006 - Keegan and I got up and watched Hitcherhiker's guide to the Galaxy.  He liked the movie.  Then we went shopping later in the morning.  I was looking for some left handed golf clubs for him but couldn't find any.  We stopped at Walmart and got some groceries and some donuts.

May 6th,  2006 - Dakota was pretty aggressive in his soccer game today.  He went after the players on the other team trying to get the ball away.  He fell down a couple times trying to take it and got up right away and went chasing after them.  Keegan got in the game for a little over a minute and had a big smile on his face chasing after the other team.  After the game Michelle took the boys to Idaho to Tyler's house.  They rode their bikes and played for a bit.  Then Keegan and Michelle game home.  Dakota spent the night.

May 4th,  2006 - Papa came over this morning to take the boys to school since Michelle and I both had to be to work early.  The boys didn't want cereal so he had to throw some waffles in the toaster for them.  When I got home the backyard was full of kids.  Nicholas and his brother and sister were over and Simon.  After supper Ramli and Syra came over and played while their parents went out for dinner. dakota_ramli1

May 3rd,  2006 - When I got home from work today Keegan gave me a picture of all the continents he had colored at school.  Dakota and Keegan took turns naming them for me.  They also had just got their Captain America costumes in the mail.  So Keegan wanted to wear it to practice.  It took me a bit to convince him to change out of it.  We went to soccer practice.  I decided to let the boys play a game themselves with the coaches just watching.  I explained that they had to know what to do with the ball once it went out of bounds and where to set themselves up after a score.  Dakota did so good.  I was so proud of him he was being very aggressive and taking the ball away from the other players.  He was getting in a pile of kids and going after the ball.  All things he really hasn't done.  But he ended up getting in trouble later.  He pushed Keegan down on purpose when they were running to the fence.  Keegan got hurt and Dakota had to sit the rest of the practice out and spend the rest of the night in his room.  Although mom brought him some ice cream and gave him a bath so it wasn't as bad as it was supposed to be.

April 30th,  2006 - Michelle and I went down to the lobby of the hotel this morning and had coffee and read the paper.  Then she went for her massage.  Afterwards we went out and picked up the boys at Lackner's.  They weren't ready to leave and wanted to go out and jump on the trampoline.  They did that for a bit then we all went home.  Nick came came over and played with the boys.

April 29th,  2006 - This morning I got the kids ready for soccer and we left early to pick up my anniversary gift for Michelle.  We went to our soccer game and had pictures taken before the game.  Dakota learned a lot from Coach Kyle's practice last Wednesday.  He taught him how to plan on getting open when we are kicking the ball in from the sidelines.  Hunter kicked a good long kick downfield and Dakota ran ahead and got to the ball but instead of dribbling it downfield he tried to stop it and it went back the other way and the other kids caught up to him.  He told me he was trying to stop it so he could pass it.  But it was just him and the ball with an open field to the goal.  After the game we went out to Lackner's for Jackson's birthday party.  The boys had a fun time playing on the trampoline but Keegan hurt his knee so they came inside to watch a movie.  They stayed the night since I was surprising Michelle with dinner and a hotel room along with a larger diamond for her wedding ring.  Michelle wrote, "Ryan had a nice surprise for me. It was our 17th Anniversary and Ryan took me out for dinner at a restaurant where they play Jazz music while Kelly and Sean watched the kids. During dinner I found out the kids were going to have a sleep over at their house with Jackson and Tucker. After dinner we walked around downtown for a little bit but I was ready to go home, I was feeling pretty tired. Well we walked towards a hotel and Ryan walked into the hotel. He had previously made reservations at the Davenport. Well, sad to say I am not very good with surprises so I was a little upset that I didn't know of his plans, I do not always adapt well! It is a beautiful hotel with much to do and even though I was "surprised" we ended up enjoying ourselves. Ryan also surprised me with a massage at the spa in the hotel.  Kids....the boys are doing well and enjoying school and soccer. April 27th,  2006 - I called Siti to see if she could watch the kids since I had to take Michelle to her doctor's appointment.  She did and took them to watch Ramli's Tae Kwon Do practice.  Then Kyle coached soccer practice.  The boys had fun and learned a lot.  Michelle and I got there about 10 minutes before practice ended.

April 25th,  2006 - I got home from work just before 8pm and the boys were out back playing with Simon.

April 23rd,  2006 - Michelle helped me redo a fence post.  The kids played outside with Nicholas his brother and sister and a few other neighbor kids.  Simon came over and played too.  Then the kids went home but Simon stayed and played inside with the boys.  Michelle gave all three of them a bath and got jammies on them.  Then they all watched a show while Michelle, Josh and I watched Dick and Jane.  dakota_keegan_dad_simon1, dakota_keegan_dad_simon2, keegan_thief1,

April 22nd,  2006 - This morning we have our soccer game.  Keegan got in for about 30 seconds.  They kicked off right into his forehead so I called Dakota right back in for his last minute.  Dakota had a fun time.  He didn't score today.  After the game the boys wanted to go play with Abby.  We stopped by Grandma's but Abby wasn't around.  The kids stayed and played in the backyard while I ran a few errands.  When I got back they still didn't want to go and then Abby showed up so they stayed and played with her.  Keegan and Abby rode in the red wagon a bit with me pulling.  Then they pulled each other around the yard.  Dakota was busy figuring out puzzles, numbers, tracing and coloring in the new Batman coloring book Grandma had just given him. dakota_keegan1, Pictures from Christine's baby shower.  christines_baby_shower1, christines_baby_shower2, neal_christine1, neal_christine2,

April 21st,  2006 - Michelle and the boys got home around 930am.  They ran out of the car and I gave them a big hug.  We spent the morning playing with little Cowboy and Indian's men that I had got them as a welcome home present.   I had to leave for work at 1pm so Michelle and the boys...

April 20th,  2006 - Michelle wrote, "Thursday it was time to head back. I left Dickinson around 2:30 and was tired the second I left. I decided to just drive the whole way and pull over when I needed to rest. As we were about home, we were in the Montana, Idaho mountains Dakota started to get car sick, so we had a few moments where we had to pull over and get cleaned up, needless to say we drove the rest of the way with the windows down, Dakota needed the fresh air blowing on his face.

While all of this was taking place Ryan lost his wonderful Grandma Millie. She was born August 15,1910 and passed away on April 14, 2006. It has been my pleasure to get to know Millie, while we lived in Kansas. I spent many nights going to Millie's sitting in a rocking chair and visiting. She has a family that will miss her dearly. Ryan flew to Kansas to attend the funeral, it was a very nice service. I was able to listen to the service. Millie's grandson's Chad and Tyler did a wonderful job singing and her son Marion gave a nice eulogy."

April 18th,  2006 - Today was the funeral.  We went to the church and had lunch.  Uncle Marion spoke and that was the only time during the service that I smiled.  Cousin Chad and Tyler sang.  After the service we went and changed.  Neal, Kristin, Dad, Aunt Kay and I went to St. Luke's and saw Grandma Navrat.  It was very nice to see her but sad to say Good Bye.  She said, I love you.  Then we all went out to Uncle Mick's and spent the day remembering Grandma Summervill, visiting with each other and a few card games of Pinochle before we had to say good bye.  Michelle wrote, "Monday and Tuesday the boys stayed with Debbie and Albert for a little while. Debbie runs a daycare so they had fun with the other kids. Mom, Amanda and I started to do some spring cleaning at moms house. We didn't get much done on Monday as we thought hail was coming so I brought the van to Debbie and Alberts and put it in their garage....the hail didn't come. Wednesday morning I watched Janae at the hotel while Amanda was at school. After school we all went swimming for one last time for a couple of hours. Keegan finally went in the deeper water with his life jacket on without holding on to me, that was a big moment. He finally realized he was not going to sink. I think the fall in at the YMCA pool had more of an impact than we thought. By this time Dakota was a fish swimming all over the pool by himself. April 17th,  2006 - The family all had lunch at noon today.  Dad, Neal, Kristin and I went down to the pond to each catch a trout for Dad to take home.  I got two nice big ones and Neal and Dad each caught one.  Kristin could only catch herself with the fly rod.  She even had her little dog to use as bait.  There is a five foot wall on one side of the pond and the dog fell in and had to swim about 15 yards back to the bank.  But Kristin didn't give up.  She finally got the net and scooped up a trout in it.  This evening we went to the viewing.  Grandma was wearing a nice pink dress and looked at peace.  Afterwards we went out to the farm and met with the minister and told stories.  Grandma always had her candy drawer and would let all of us grandkids and great grandkids have whatever we wanted even if "mom's" said no.  Mom recalls her always saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say about someone then don't say anything at all."

April 16th,  2006 - I flew to Wichita, Kansas.  Mom picked me up and we went to Uncle Mick's farm. Michelle and the boys had a nice Easter Sunday spent with her relatives.  They had an Easter egg hunt.  Michelle wrote, "Easter morning started off a little rough, the boys were having a hard time getting up. We went to the morning breakfast at church and then attended the church service. After church we went back to Amanda's where the boys and Janae found their Easter baskets, more candy!!!! The boys also received goggles and snorkels. My cousin Austin had an Easter celebration at his home so the we went there for another Easter egg hunt and visited with the Pavlicek's. It was good to see everyone. The boys had fun with more of their second cousins. Then it was back to Amanda's for dinner. Grandpa Benz and his friend Emma were there along with Amanda's Dad and her Grandma. The meal was great, it felt so good to eat a home cooked meal. Keegan especially liked the home made buns. I loved eating the warm fresh buns the grandmas always made when we were young, it brought back good memories." janae1, keegan1, debbie_albert1, grandma_debbie_candi1, dakota_keegan_janae1, dakota_keegan_janae2, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan_grandma1, dakota_keegan_2nd_cousin's1, austin_ann_abby1, dakota_grandma1, amy_blaine_family1, amanda1, alan_candi_cody_zack1,

April 15th,  2006 - Michelle took the boys to Rocky Butte park in Dickinson for the Easter egg hunt.  Amanda and Jayden were there too.  Keegan was having a fun time but Dakota didn't want to do it. He was having a fit probably because it was early and was tired.  Michelle wrote, "Saturday morning Amanda and I took the kids to Rocky Butte Park for an Easter Egg hunt. Keegan and Janae won a prize in one of their eggs. After that mom and I went out to Tom and Twila's who live north of Killdeer to visit Twila, Daniel, and Hanna. The boys always have a great time with the girls, their second cousins, since they are all so close in age. There were new kittens so the boys thought that was pretty cool. Grandpa Benz also met us out there, he looked good. While mom and I were out visiting Amanda was busy preparing for the Easter dinner." dakota_amanda_janae1, dakota1, keegan1, amanda_janae1,

April 14th,  2006 - Michelle, Dakota and Keegan got to Dickinson in the early afternoon.  I received some sad news today.  My Grandma Summervill passed away today.  Michelle wrote, "Friday morning we said good-bye and made the rest of the trip. I must say, I really enjoyed the drive from the time we left Spokane. The boys were very good, they watched movies and played, and I seemed to have noticed all the things I have not noticed before on the many times we have made the trip. Or is was more of a peaceful sensation that the beauty seemed to bring out.

We went to visit Grandma Barbie right away, she was babysitting Janae. The boys had fun with playing with their cousin, she is such a sweetie. Then it was time for round one of swimming. We went back the hotel since the boys waited so patiently all day to swim. From there they took in swimming every day."

April 13th,  2006 - Michelle and the boys left this morning on their drive to North Dakota.  She stopped in Laurel Montana and spent the night with her Aunt.  Michelle wrote, "Ryan has been after me to update the webpage on our vacation. So here it goes. The boys and I left Thursday morning and reached Laurel, Mt in the afternoon where we stayed with my aunt Carrie and uncle Wayne. We saw there new home, Carrrie made dinner for the boys and we then went for a walk, it was gorgeous outside. As we were walking I forgot how everyone waves to each other, I had to laugh, in a good way."

April 12th,  2006 - We had soccer practice tonight.  Keegan did really well dribbling the ball and passing in our drills.  Dakota and Cameron were great when we played a 2 on 2 game vs. Hunter and Ramli.  They did a great job applying the passing drill to go down and score one time during the game.

April 11th,  2006 - I picked the kids up at lunch.  Keegan wanted to watch Lord of the Rings.  I put it in and about 10 minutes later he was asleep on the couch.  Michelle got home so Dakota and I went out back to play catch.  Dakota heard the neighbor kids playing so peaked through the fence.  He said they were playing in the front yard and wanted me to come with him.  I told him if he wanted to play he would have to go ask them by himself if he could play with them.  He didn't want too but was saved because all the kids came into Nick's back yard.  Nick, Kyle and Sidney saw Dakota by the fence and came over along with three other kids from the neighborhood.  They all played the rest of the afternoon up to 6pm in our backyard.  I went in and watched the Mariner's game and woke Keegan up so he could go play too.  keegan1,

April 9th,  2006 - Michelle got the house ready for guests today.  We are having a Easter egg hunt for the kids and invited Lackner's and Michelle's relatives over.  Josh, June and Simon are on vacation so this is the first year they will miss it. We ate lunch and then the kids went out for the hunt.  Abby was too shy so didn't go out and get eggs.  The neighbor kids ran over when they heard everyone out back and got here just as the kids were finishing up.  So they stayed and played all afternoon at our house.  Dakota and Keegan had a blast.  They were playing ninja's and sword fighting.  Ashley played soccer with them.  The kids played with all the toys in the basement.  They went outside and played on the swing set and tag.  It was a fun day for everyone.  dakota1, dakota2, dakota3, dakota4, keegan1, keegan2, keegan_jackson1, dakota_jackson_sydney1, dakota_keegan_jackson_tucker_abby_ashley_kelly_sean_von_jenna1, dakota_keegan_jackson_tucker_ashley1, tucker_ashley1, dakota_tucker_ashley1, dakota_keegan_jackson_tucker_abby1,

April 8th,  2006 - I got the kids ready for Dakota's first soccer game of the spring.  It just started raining about the time we left the house.  Keegan was upset that I didn't have snacks and was going to take the team out for pizza after the game.  But luckily some people were selling snacks at the school so I bought some rice crispy bars and candy for the team.  Keegan was happy  now.  It started pouring rain so we all got soaked.  Coach Kyle refereed the game for me while I sat on the sidelines with Keegan.  Dakota had a fun time chasing the ball and got a few good kicks in but still is hesitant to go in to a group of boys and try to steal the ball.  We got home and Keegan took a nice warm bath.  Dakota didn't want too.  The boys watched a Secret of Nimph2.  Dakota came downstairs and wanted to play with me so we went to the basement and played a few games of air hockey.  Michelle got home from work and we all started watching Invasion of the Body Snatchers.  Then Jon, Maryann and their baby Kambria called and asked if it would be ok to stop by so Michelle rushed to clean up the house.   The kids and I got the eggs out to boil for tomorrow's early Easter egg hunt.  This was the first year I didn't get to decorate them with the boys since we waited too long and I had to work.  So they decorated them with our guests.  dakota_jon1, dakota_jon2, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota1, keegan1, keegan_kambria1, kambria1, kambria2, maryann_kambria1,

April 7th,  2006 - Michelle had the day off today.  Dakota wanted to play soccer when we got up so Keegan, Dakota and I went out and played for awhile.  Then Dakota wanted to play catch with the baseball so we did that while Keegan swung on the swing.  Dakota got the tee out and bat next.  Keegan came over and took turns hitting the ball.  Michelle came out and got the garden ready while the kids and I played baseball.  Keegan can really hit the ball good this year off the tee.  Dakota is getting better and better at catching fly balls.  Last year he wouldn't even let me throw him a ball in the air.  Now this year that is all he wants me to throw him.  The backyard neighbor kids, Nicholas, Kyle and Sydney heard us playing outside and came over.  They spent most of the late morning and early afternoon playing in our backyard or theirs.  All the kids wanted to plant the garden but only Sydney and Dakota stuck around to drop the seeds in the holes and cover the dirt up.  Nicholas, Keegan and Kyle were running around the yard sword fighting.  Dakota joined in after planting the garden.  The kids went over to the neighbors to play.  Michelle cleaned the cars.  After supper the boys fell asleep watching Narnia with Michelle.  dakota_dad_sydney1, dakota_dad_sydney2, dakota_dad_sydney3, dakota1, dakota2, keegan1, keegan2, dakota_keegan1,

April 6th,  2006 - I picked up Dakota and Keegan from school and we ran some errands.  Dakota had his three shots today to get ready for school.  When we pulled up to the Doctor's office I had to carry him out of the car.  He tried to grab on to every railing and door on the way up to the second floor.  I got him in the Doctor's office screaming noooooooo.  I had to tell a family that was leaving that looked at me strangly that he was getting his shots today.  Of course the nurse wanted me to fill out some paperwork so as soon as I set him down he took off running down the hall.  He caught up and passed the family that had left a minute before.  Keegan was trailing behind him telling him everything would be fine.  I was on the second floor and he was in the lobby below.  I told him to wait there but decided I couldn't fill out the paperwork worrying about him going out.  As I got closer he would keep his distance he wouldn't even go give Michelle a hug when she drove up.  He kept his distance from us both.  So I handed her the clipboard to fill out the doctor's question and sprinted after him as he ran down the sidewalk to the end of the building.  Then I had to carry him back up to the second floor kicking and screaming.  The nurse tried to get him to answer questions but he wouldn't say a thing.  So I said just do the shots first because he is getting himself all worked up.  He will calm down a minute or two after they are done.  We even had a bowl ready in case he threw up.  The nurse came in.  Dakota started screaming, "no no no no no no.  She gave him two shots in one leg and he yelled, "get a band aid, get a band aid. I'm dying.  The nurse looked at him and said your not dead.  He got one more shot and screamed.  He settled down right after she left and was very cooperative with her.  He took off his shoes to get weighed and measured.  He is 42 inches tall and weighs 43 pounds.  They tested his eye sight with some cards and he was able to tell her what each shape was.  The boys and I went home and watched the 1973 DVD movie of Tom Sawyer.

April 5th,  2006 - We had our first soccer practice tonight.  It was raining but all the boys had a fun time running around in the rain.  Keegan even practiced with us a bit but also took a break to play on the swing at Ramli's house.

April 4th,  2006 - Michelle picked the boys up from school.  They went over to Simon's to play for awhile.   Josh was showing them sight words for a bit.  When they got home they ran around the backyard for a bit playing in the rain.  dakota_keegan1, dakota1, keegan1, keegan2,

April 2nd,  2006 - This morning we met Von, Jenna and Abby at the Valley Mall and went to see Iceage2.  We all had a good time laughing at the movie.  Keegan and Dakota laughed a lot.  Afterwards we went and got a few coats for me and then came home.  Nicholas and his little brother and sister came over and played with Dakota and Keegan in the backyard. kelsie1, kelsie2, kelsie3,

April 1st,  2006 - We took Michelle's van into get new brake pads put on and then walked down to the corner and had lunch.  Then we drove to Northtown mall so Michelle could buy the boy's some new shoes.  I took them to the slide to play while Michelle shopped a bit.  They had a blast sliding and climbing and running.  We went to one more store then the boys and I stopped for some coffee, yogurt and chocolate while Michelle went to another store.

March 31st,  2006 - The boys just went to school from 9am to noon today.  Keegan wouldn't let me leave because he forgot some of his pictures in a basket.  I had to go back inside and get them.  The teacher said he probably wants this one and showed me that he had been practicing tracing his name.  I gave Keegan the two paintings and his name and he said, I did my name all by myself today.  He carried around that paper all day long.  He took it into Wal-mart when we went and bought King Kong.  He was carrying it around the kitchen at lunch, when we watched the movie and downstairs when they were playing games on the computer.  He was very proud of doing his name and so was I.

March 30th,  2006 - Dakota wanted to play baseball again.  He and Keegan each played a bit throwing it at the net and catching it on the bounce back.  Then we all played catch too.  Dakota wanted to play basketball so we got the hoop out and did that for a while.  Then the boys went over to Nicholas's house to watch Chicken Little.  Nadine sent some pictures of Kelsie taking dance lessons. kelsie1, kelsie2, kelsie3, kelsie4,

March 29th,  2006 - Michelle dropped the boys off at school.  She had a conference with Keegan's teacher.  Keegan has trouble focusing on the task at hand.  He is very polite and follows directions but isn't interested in what the project is when it is time to do it.  I picked up the boys from school this evening.  A boy came up to Dakota and hugged him and said good bye when we were getting their coats on.  Dakota said that was Jarin.  They played with him, Hayden and Aaron today.  We got home and Dakota practiced throwing the baseball at the net and catching it.  A bit later I played catch with him.  He is getting very good at catching the ball in the air.  Just two weeks ago he wouldn't let me throw in the air.  Now when he has time he tosses it up in the air to catch it himself.  Keegan went over and invited Simon over.  They played on the swings a bit then went inside and watched Batman Beyond and ran around the house chasing each other.

March 28th,  2006 - Michelle was home sick today.  But after I got off work she was feeling a bit better so we both went and picked up the boys.  They were happy to see us.  Dakota wanted to play baseball again.  So we went out and played catch.  He also got his net out of the shed to throw the ball at it and catch it while I watered some patches of the lawn.  Keegan played a bit of ball but mostly wanted to swing.  Both boys have been swinging by themselves this spring.

March 27th,  2006 - I picked the boys up around 4pm and we came home and played catch a bit.

March 25th,  2006 - Michelle cleaned the fish tank this morning and took some pictures of our cat, Thief.  thief1, theif2.  Then we went over to Papa and Grandma's to celebrate Chase and Jeremy's birthdays.  The kids had a good time playing with Abby as usual.  chase_jeremy1, Nadine sent some pictures.  Kelsie made a play-doh snake all by herself!  kelsie1, kelsie2

March 12th,  2006 - Keegan woke up and said, "Dad I didn't have an accident. I woke up and went pee in the toilet". He was so proud that he had a good night. The night before I told him he couldn't drink any water or milk after 7pm from now on so he wouldn't have an accident. He had such a big smile on his face when he told me. Dakota, Keegan and I played a lot of football today. They wanted to tackle. Dakota did a good job not being rough with Keegan and we all had a fun time playing. Later in the afternoon the neighbor that lives behind us came over to play. We just met him a few weeks ago since two eight foot sections of their fence blew down and opened up our back yards. Nicholas played on the computer most of the time. Keegan played with him a bit but Dakota wanted to watch Planet of the Apes with me. keegan_thief1, keegan_thief2, dakota_dad1,

March 11th,  2006 - Keegan woke us up at 530am since he wet the bed. Michelle wanted to go shopping for some comforter and sheets for our bed. We had lunch at Quizzno's. Michelle went to check on the sheets and I took the boys to the arcade. They both had a fun time playing the bowling game, a baseball throwing game and stomping on spider's game. They turned in their tickets for some gooey spiders to stick on the wall and a spinning top. We found Michelle and finished shopping. When we got home Dakota was a good helper and helped me set up the new TV. He opened all the wrappers and put batteries in the remote all by himself. kelsie1, kelsie2,

March 7th,  2006 - Dakota asked Michelle what she had in her hands. She told him it is for cutting cuticles. They went downstair's and Dakota said "Mom I want you to get the testicle cutter." Michelle replied back, "What?" Dakota said, "I want you to cut my testicles." She broke up laughing and told him it was for cuticles. dakota_keegan1dakota_keegan_thief1,

March 4th,  2006 - We went over to Papa and Grandma's tonight for Jenna's birthday. Each of the kids took their turn being unhappy for a few minutes. Dakota wouldn't speak to anyone for a bit. Larry tried to cheer him up but he kept his scowl going for a bit until the kids went off to play. They all enjoyed the cake and ice cream and pizza. jenna1, dakota_larry1, lawrence_amanda_naomi1, jenna_von_abby_keegan1,

March 3rd,  2006 - I took the kids to school this morning. They were there from 9am to noon. When I came to pick them up Keegan told me he played with Aaron today. He was excited because he is trying to learn the names of his classmates. They invited Simon over but he could only stay a half hour. They spent the afternoon playing on the computer. Then helped me move furniture and stuff to make room for our new bed.

March 2nd,  2006 - Dakota wanted me to make pancakes for breakfast. I had to hurry so they could get off to school. I picked them up at 1130am just before lunch. We got home and Dakota wanted to invite Simon over so he went over and asked him to come play. Keegan decided he wanted to invite Nicholas over. He was a bit scared to go over and invite him so asked Dakota to come with him. Dakota walked about 10 yards into their backyard but Keegan went up and knocked on their back sliding glass door. Nicholas's Mom told him he had to go to preschool but he would come over at 3pm when they got home. Simon and the boys watched Ghostbuster's and played with toys. Nicholas came over and they all played with toys in the basement or on the computer. Everyone had a good time. keegan1, keegan2keegan3,

February 26th,  2006 - Michelle, Dakota and Keegan made some brownies today. dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2,

February 25th,  2006 - We all went to my office to see it and pick up my check and then the boys got to stay at Grandma's and play with Abby while Michelle and I went to see the Gonzaga basketball game.  They had fun as usual playing with their cousin.  When we got home it was time for bed.  Dakota had a rough night with another earache.

February 24th,  2006 - I got home about 730pm from firearms training in Tacoma.  I should of had a 299 out of 300 but hurried a shot when my clip got caught pulling it out so I missed and ended up with a 294.  We went out to Wal-Mart to get Keegan a power ranger since he finished his medicine every day.  Dakota gave Michelle problems so didn't get one.  He didn't take it so well.  But I bought the boys a Scooby-Doo cartoon and they watched that before bed.

February 23rd,  2006 - Keegan made himself a jelly sandwich. keegan1, theif1,

February 23rd,  2006 - Pappy and Grandma got back from their vacation to Mexico.  Grandma wrote, "We're back! Had a great time after we finally got there. We waited in Denver airport for 21/2 hours as they had mechanical problems. Arrived at our hotel around 8 p.m. on Wed. The next day it was raining, so we ended up going to Playa Del Carmen and shopped around for awhile, headed back to resort and didn't leave the resort again until Monday on the flight. We had between 80 to 85 degrees the rest of the days. Windy for first 3, but it really didn't make a difference. We just hung around the pool and sunbathed and drank. The food was excellent and good time was had by all!" resort1, resort2, resort3, grandma1, pappy1, pappy2,

February 20th,  2006 - It was a long day today.  We left about noon to go get Michelle an oil change at the Honda dealership.  We got side tracked looking at king size mattresses at a few places.  Then picked up lunch to eat while they were fixing her van.  After that we stopped at Great Floors and chose some carpet for the living room and tile for the kitchen.  Then ended up at Lowe's to buy a French door for the kitchen to install prior to putting in the new floor.  Then it was a drive all the way up north division to look at living room furniture at Lazy Boy.  We ended up getting that and stopped back at the mattress place for the new bed.  The boys got some will deserved ice cream on the way home.

February 18th,  2006 - The boys were up early playing in their room.  Michelle lost the $60 she had taken to the casino.  Dakota made me some coffee and I got the boys cereal.  Dakota and I watched Davy Crockett the old 70's Walt Disney movie.  Keegan played.  Then the boys watched Young Pocahontas which Keegan had picked out at the library.  We all got ready and went to Red Lobster for lunch.  Michelle wanted to check out a furniture store so we browsed there but the boys were being "active".  Michelle was getting upset and tired so we went home.  Dakota and I finished watching Davy Crocket.  Keegan watched a movie with Michelle in bed but fell asleep.  We couldn't wake him up for supper or to take his medicine.  Dakota is finally doing good with his medicine finishing it in one gulp.  Dakota and Michelle then went up and watched Robots in bed.  Of course Michelle was sound asleep a bit later and Dakota was still watching it.  dakota_keegan1

February 17th,  2006 - After I got home I watched part of The Fog but fell asleep watching it.  Michelle decided the kid's could stay home from school today since I wasn't much help getting them ready.  I dozed off and got up about half an hour after she left for work.  The boys had got all their watercolor paints and colored pencil's out and were drawing at the table and painting.  It took me about an hour or more to get Dakota to finish his medicine.  We watched The Fog then went to the library where Dakota picked out The Neverending Story III to watch.  Keegan chose Young Pocahontas and I got Davy Crockett.  We went by the boys school to get their blankets to wash but Michelle had already picked them up on her lunch break.  We drove to Gonzaga and I got the VCR programmed for Maryann.  Lori offered them a piece of candy and of course Sweet Tooth Keegan jumped right on that offer.  Dakota was shy so didn't want it.  The boys warmed up to them a bit later.  We got home and Dakota watched his movie.  We were going to watch Davy Crocket together but it took Dakota over 2 hours to take his medicine.  He cried, spit it up, threw up basically wasted a lot of it.  Once he finally got it done it was time for bed.  I read them a short story and tucked them in to bed.  Michelle went out with Joann and her Dad to gamble at Quest Casino.

February 16th,  2006 - I had to work at night so Michelle and the kid's watched Survivor together and then went to bed.

February 15th,  2006 - Dakota didn't eat enough breakfast before he took his medicine so threw up on the way to school and more at school.  So Michelle took him to Naomi's and Chase babysat him all day.  Keegan spent the whole day at school by himself. I picked him up and he told me he had a fun day he played with Jonas and his brother.

February 14th,  2006 - Michelle brought the valentine box to the kids bedroom when they woke up and had them check it. Keegan got Bambi II and Dakota got Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. They had Michelle took the kid's to the doctor after school to check their ear's.  They both still had an ear infection so had to get some stronger medicine.  It is very bad tasting medicine. dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan4, dakota_keegan5keegan1,

February 13th,  2006 - It snowed this morning.  I picked the kids up at 5pm and we got home and they hurried and got their snow pants on.  Then I pulled them in the slid to a small hill and we went sledding for a awhile.  They had a good time.  Michelle got home and had rented them Madagascar.  Dakota watched it by himself.  Keegan had an earache again.  He stayed downstairs watching Flightplan with Michelle and I until he fell asleep.  He woke up and they went upstairs and watched Madagascar a second time with Dakota. dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan4

February 12th,  2006 - We went out to Tubb's hill in Coeur d'Alene and went for a bear hunt.  Well just a nice hike around the hill.  It took us 2 hours.  Keegan walked the whole way.  Dakota had me carry him the last quarter mile since his feet hurt.  They had a good time.  Then we went to a pet store so they could look at the animals and on our way home got some ice cream at DQ. dakota1, dakota2, dakota_keegan1, dakota_keegan2, dakota_keegan3, dakota_keegan4, dakota_mom1, dakota_keegan_mom1, dakota_keegan_mom2, dakota_keegan_mom3, dakota_keegan_dad1, dakota_keegan_dad2, dakota_keegan_dad3, keegan1, keegan2

February 10th,  2006 - The got up and watched part of one of the movies we rented yesterday.  Michelle took them to school a little before 9am.  I picked them up at 1230pm, just a few minutes after they fell asleep for nap.  We went and returned some slippers that fell apart on Dakota.  Then came home and they watched the rest of the movie they rented.  Dakota wanted to play football so we went out back and played.  Dakota likes to tackle Keegan.  They both had fun today.  The neighbor behind us saw us outside so came and introduced herself.  Her name is Kara.  She has a 5 year old and a 2 and half year old.  She was able to introduce herself because two sections of their fence fell down and we have an opening between our yards.  Her 5 year old Nicholas came over and introduced himself.  The boys talked and played on the swings and slide for a while.  They threw  a few passes of the football then headed inside.  Dakota gave Nicholas a tour of the house.  They played a bit while I cleaned.

February 9th,  2006 - The kids and I went to their old school West Valley Co-op this morning.  Dakota was a bit shy at first and would only sit inside the hall doorway.  Then Gavin went out to sit by him and a bit later they returned to class.  Dakota was very glad he came in too class.  He had fun decorating valentine boxes.  Keegan played in Dakota's class the first half hour then we went to his class.  His friend Lilly is no longer at the school.  He had been looking forward to seeing her.  He said hi to his friend Shraven.  A little girl by the name of Lauren had missed Keegan.  Keegan was back to his old self.  He didn't want me to leave the room even for a minute.  At recess the boys had a lot of fun.  Dakota and about six other boys played football.  Keegan did a bit too but he wanted to play soccer more so I went in and got some balls.  He and Kayln played with them chasing each other around.  We got done with school and ran some errands to a few stores then went to have lunch with Michelle at her work.  The kids like to run around there.  We came home and took a nap.  When Michelle got home the boys played some computer games while she was on the computer.  Then we all watched Survivor together.  I posted a picture under January 4th when I got sworn in. keegan1, dakota_gavin_brady_kayln_eric_evelyn1, dakota_hunter_brady_kayln_eric_evelyn1

February 8th,  2006 - Dakota and Keegan were outside playing when I picked them up.  Dakota said he got in trouble today with Jonas and Hayden for pushing Hayden's brother down.  Dakota said Hayden is one of his mean friends.  Dakota wanted to go home and play football.  So we got home and we went outside and passed the football around.  Keegan wanted to stay inside and watch Scooby-Doo 2.

February 7th,  2006 - I picked the kids up from school after work.  Keegan colored some valentine hearts. It is fun picking up the kids because they run to give me a big hug.  Dakota is adjusting to his school a little better now.  He plays with a few kids now instead of just one.

February 6th,  2006 - Kelly and I went to the Gonzaga vs. Saint Mary's game tonight.  It was  probably one of the best ending's I've seen.  Gonzaga was down most of the game by 3 to 5 points.  With a minute left they were still down by 2 points and finally tied the game.  We got the ball back and Morrison missed but it went out of bounds and it was our ball with .5 seconds.  They passed it in and Mallon got fouled going up for the shot.  He shot and missed his first free throw then made his second to put the Bulldogs up by 1 with .3 seconds left.

February 5th,  2006 - Same old story, Keegan gets the worm.  He was the first one up this morning.  Dakota and I are on the computer this morning.  Dakota is playing quake 3 and Monster's Inc Pinball while I'm learning how to use my new cell phone and pager from work.  We went outside around noon and played catch with the football.  Dakota likes tackling Keegan.  Keegan usually throws the ball away when Dakota gets close or for the most part starts to whine or cry when he does get tackled.  Keegan decided he wanted to play soccer instead so went in to get the soccer balls.  Michelle came out and got Josh, June and Simon to come over.  We were going to play tag football but Dakota changed his mind when I handed the ball off to him for him to run for a TD.  So we played a bit with Michelle carrying Keegan in one arm since he was whining and catching the football.  The kids played on the swings a bit then wanted to go inside.  They played with the Thomas trains, on the computer and wrestled.  Dakota watched some of the game and was going for the Seahawks.

February 4th,  2006 - Keegan got us up early by 8am.  Then the Sears guy came over and tuned up our TV.  We got ready and hopped in Michelle's car for a drive over to Post Falls.  She decided to trade in her car for a gold 2002 Honda Odyssey.  So we signed the papers and drove to Naomi's for a visit.  The kids played with Chase.  Larry helped Michelle set the cd-player and radio. Dakota had left a light on in the back of the van last Sunday when they had first looked at it and the battery had died.  So they programmed it.  I cleaned up the junk on Naomi's computer and then we drove to Papa and Grandma's to show them the van.  Keegan and Dakota had fun playing with Abby while we visited.  We went to Albertson's and got some food for Super Bowl Sunday.  I left to meet Kelly for the Gonzaga vs. Santa Clara basketball game.  The Zags won 85 to 71.  Kelly stopped by The Bulldog for a beer afterwards.  Pappy and Grandma sent some pictures.  pappy_grandmas_house1, pappy_grandmas_deck_on_missouri1, pappy_grandmas_deck_on_missouri2,

February 2nd,  2006 - I got back into town this afternoon and picked up the kids from school.  We came home and had hot dogs and Keegan ate his cookies from school.  They wouldn't let him eat them at school since you can't bring deserts in your lunch.  They also finished some of their broccoli. Michelle got home then we all went to the doctor's office to get the boys their first flu shots.  I was surprised Dakota was acting ok and came into the screening room.  But the nurse took too long since she thought that only the flu shots were scheduled for the boys and I had said that I wanted them to check their ears to make sure the infection was gone.  Well Dakota then left and headed to the lobby and Michelle had to carry him back.  The nurse came in to give him the flu shot first.  Keegan watched patiently.  Dakota I had to hold down his legs and he began screaming at the top of his lungs.  He screamed and screamed "aaaaaaah, aaaaaaaaah".  He must of did that for almost a minute then started yelling, "Your killing me, your killing me, I'm dead. Then he he flopped over his head, closed his eyes and let his tongue hang out of his mouth.  Then started again screaming,  aaaaaaah, aaaaah, your killing me, I'm dead, aaaaah, aaaaah."  Then I told him.  Dakota it's over with your done.  I took him and held him in the chair.  Keegan hopped right up on the table and laid down.  Then nurse poked him but then he started crying for a minute and stopped.  Dakota then threw up on my  his and my pants since he had worked him self up.

January 29th 2006 - Michelle and Keegan went to Naomi's they were looking at buying a used 2002 Honda Odyssey van but thought Michelle might like it.  Well she did so they came by and showed me and Dakota and then took it for a ride back to the dealer to see what sort of deal they could work out.  So it looks like she might be buying it soon.

January 28th 2006 - Nadine sent some pictures of Kelsie.  I posted them on January 28th, January 24th, January 8th, and December 25th. kelsie1, kelsie2, The boys drew some pictures this morning on their chalkboard.  dakota1, dakota2, keegan1

January 27th 2006 - Dakota would not go into the screening room and kept going back to the lobby.  I had to pick him up and carry him to the office several times.  We were going to get flu shots if Keegan didn't have a fever.  So Dakota was grabbing onto every chair, wall, door frame along the way and I had to pry his fingers from them.  It turned out that both had ear infections so we got prescriptions to go get and will hold off on the flu shots for a week.

January 26th 2006 - I picked the kids up early Keegan wasn't feeling well so we will go to the doctor tomorrow.  He had a fever and an earache.  Dakota's teacher said he played with a few new kids today.  Dakota has been a little shy in playing with all the kids in class.  He just plays with one or two people.

January 25th 2006 - I made spaghetti tonight while the boys watched The Wizard of Oz.  Keegan didn't sleep well.  He woke us up late and it took awhile to get him to take some medicine.

January 24th 2006 - The boys and I watched Two and Half Men from last night.  Keegan started saying, "I'm on a date".  I asked him who he was on a date with?  He replied, "Syra".  But then Dakota went over to him and whispered in his ear.  Keegan said, "I'm on a date with Lilli".  Who is a little blond girl from his old school at West Valley Co-op that he liked.  Dakota then said, "I'm on a date with Syra". kelsie1, kelsie_nadine1

January 22nd 2006 - We went to Savageland Pizza today for Christian's birthday.  He is on our soccer team.  The boys had fun playing in the tunnels and games.  Then we went home and watched the Seahawk game.  Keegan and Michelle fell asleep on the couch and Dakota did eventually. keegan_christian1, keegan_christian2, dakota_keegan_mom_siti_syra1, dakota_keegan_mom_siti_syra2, ramlee_syra1, dakota_christian1, christian1, christian_ramlee_syra1bday1emma1, emma2

January 21st 2006 - I made sausage and eggs for breakfast and we watched Bedknobs and Broomsticks.  Dakota enjoyed the movie.  Michelle was going to take the boys to Northtown mall today and play on the slide and visit a friend but the boys were not listening.  So Dakota had to stay home with me.  Keegan almost had to because he wasn't getting dressed or listening but went to his bedroom to get his socks on.  Both boys were crying.  Dakota said through his tears.  "Keegan I want you to stay home with me".  He gave Keegan a hug and said he loved him.  Keegan said through his tears, "Dakota I want you to come to the mall" and that he loved him.  Dakota replied, "I can't I lost my privilege." I told Dakota we would make popcorn and watch a movie so he picked out Shrek 2.  Keegan then decided he was going to stay home too and we all sat on the couch and had some popcorn.  Michelle finished getting ready and was about to leave when Keegan changed his mind so she took him with her.  They had a good time and Keegan got a cinebon.  Dakota and I went and got an ice cream cone.  Then after the movie we took a nap.  That evening we went to the Valley mall and looked at jewelry.  The boys had fun running in the mall. dakota1, dakota2

January 18th 2006 - Before I left for work I tried to wake Dakota up and give him a kiss.  He barely stirred but said ok when I said I would see him after work.  I got to preschool after work and watched the boys playing before they saw me.  They were building cars with leggos and using screw drivers.  They saw me and ran and gave me a hug.

January 17th 2006 - I picked the boys up after work.  They both ran and gave me a hug when they saw me.  Dakota said he cried this morning when he woke up because I had already gone to work before he woke up.  We got home and the boys watched Fantastic Four.  Christian stopped by and dropped off a birthday invitation for his party this weekend.  We hadn't seen him since soccer ended.

January 16th 2006 - Keegan woke up first again and I told him I had a surprise for him.  Donuts!  He wanted them right away but I told him he had to go wake up his brother first.  He came back and said he couldn't get him up.  So I went in and told Dakota that I got donuts for breakfast.  Dakota said  he wanted them but couldn't open his eyes it was too bright but he got up right away squinting threw his eyelids and slid down his slide.  They watched Deigo and Dora while we got ready.  We all headed out to Dakota's one year cardiologist checkup.  Dakota has been looking forward to the visit for several days.  He remembered them putting all the stickers on to to read his heart.  After the nurse was done she said he could pull the ten stickers off his chest, leg and arms.  After each one he pulled he said, "Ouch".  It was pretty funny.  Everything turned out fine.  The one hole between his heart that was barely open last year had closed completely.  He doesn't need to have anything done this year so we will check back next year.  It was narrower but still ok and they would probably try and stretch the artery wall when they do need to do more and see if that works.  If not then they would replace or put in a valve.  After the doctor's visit we went and bought a few shirts at Gonzaga and then stopped at office depot to get me some office supplies for work.  Then off to Country buffet for lunch.  Of course the boys pigged out on ice cream, brownies and Jell-O mostly.  Dakota did eat pizza and macaroni and cheese but Keegan hardly touched anything besides the junk food. We stopped at Fred Meyer on the way home and got some jeans, shirts for the kids and shoes for Michelle.

January 15th 2006 - The kids had Simon over for awhile.  They played inside with toys and Josh fixed the pull string helicopter that they had given Dakota for his birthday so we went outside and they played with that.  Dakota sure liked it a lot but by the end of the day it was broke.  Keegan and Simon played on the swings while Dakota played with the helicopter.  Then the boys spent a big part of the afternoon playing at Simon's house.  I heard Keegan asking Michelle to buy him donuts for supper.  So I headed to the store after they all went over to Simon's to play.  I fixed them steak and called them to come home and eat.  Dakota sure likes steak but Keegan didn't eat much of his so Dakota finished his plate too.

January 14th 2006 - The kids slept in late.  I went to bed and slept most of the day trying to fight off a cold.  Dakota, Keegan and Michelle went to the YMCA to Syra's birthday party.  They had  a fun time swimming.  Keegan needs to learn to listen better.  Michelle told him to stay on the steps while she went to the other side of the pool to get his life jacket.  He didn't listen and went out towards the deep end and was bouncing up and down trying to stay above water.  Dakota said "Dad he just sunk to the bottom."  Michelle ran back screaming at a man standing next to him to grab her son.  Which he did.  When they got home the boys played computer games.  Later in the evening Papa and a few of his friends came over to watch the Gonzaga vs. Pepperdine game on DirecTV.  I had to head to work so couldn't watch it. syra1, siti_syra1, siti_syra2, keegan1, dakota_keegan1, dakota1, dakota_keegan_syra1

January 13th 2006 - Keegan tried to say he was sick again today.  I told him that mom was going to work so even if he was she wouldn't be home.  We told him he had to go to school.  I took the kids to preschool today.  Keegan put up his coat and got on his slippers, gave me a hug and was off to play.  Dakota didn't want me to leave so sulked over to his coat rack and sat in a chair facing the hall with big red eyes.  I gave him a hug and asked him to make me a picture.  When I came to pick them up in the afternoon.  Keegan saw me come and and ran over with his big smile and gave me a hug.  Then went back to get a picture he had made for me and shouted to Dakota that I was here.  He had practiced cutting and gluing pictures in to the right squares.  Dakota came and gave me a big hug and showed me the picture he drew for me.  Keegan made a picture for mom where he clued on shapes.  We went home and the kids finished up watching Fantastic Four which they had started before school and played a bit on the computer. Then we went to the mall to meet Michelle and eat and shop for some clothes for me.

January 12th 2006 - Michelle had planned on going today but just as she was getting ready to leave Keegan claimed he was sick so she stayed home.  It was probably Keegan's first time "playing" sick.

January 11th 2006 - The kids stayed home again today.  Keegan was feeling a lot better and didn't throw up today.  They played on the computer, drew pictures and rested.

January 10th 2006 - The school called Michelle at work to come pick up the kids early in the afternoon.  Keegan wasn't acting right. She got home and Keegan threw up most of the afternoon and night.

January 9th 2006 - It was great picking up the boys from school.  Keegan and Dakota have such big smiles when they see me and come running for a hug.

January 8th 2006 - Dakota and Keegan invited Syra and Ramlee over this afternoon to play.  kelsie1, kelsie2

January 7th 2006 - The boys were up pretty early watching cartoons.  Keegan helped take out the trash with Michelle.  I started installing the new dishwasher but it didn't have a power cord so Michelle took the boys with her shopping to get one and run other errands.  They got home around 5pm just in time to get things ready for Grandma Joann's 50th birthday party. jeremy_jenna_naomi1, jeremy_naomi1, dakota_keegan_grandma1, dakota_keegan_grandma2, dakota_keegan_grandma3, dakota_keegan_abby1larry_richie_lisa1,  Pappy and Grandma sent some pictures.  sunset_on_missouri1, sunset_on_missouri2, sunset_on_missouri3, sunset_on_missouri4,

January 6th 2006 - Today I got off at 1230pm and then went for a run and went and picked up the kids early.  They were laying down for a nap but were not a sleep.  Keegan must of been crying.  He had a few boys come tell me he got in trouble and he was crying but the teacher said he hadn't.  I think Dakota wanted to go to his class and Keegan was crying because he wanted him to stay with him.  Dakota showed me two pictures he had colored.  We went home and played some games on the computer.  Then made popcorn and watched Fantastic Four.  When Michelle got home she finished watching Spy Kids 2 and a National Geographic Shark movie with the boys.  Then read them some books before bedtime.

January 5th 2006 - Today was the first day I got to pick up Dakota and Keegan from preschool.  I got there about 4pm.  Keegan must of heard me talking because he came out of his room into the hallway with a big smile on his face and said, "Dad!"  Then he ran back into his room.  He came out a minute later with his coat on and his lunch bag.  Dakota was playing but when he found out I was in the hall he came running over with a big smile on his face.  Dakota showed me his picture he colored today then Keegan ran back to his room saying he had painted a picture for Mom.

January 4th 2006 - I had wanted to get up and go running before heading to headquarters but my luggage still hadn't arrived.  I did finally get a hold of the airlines and they said it left between 6am and 7am and should be at the hotel by noon.  I waited until 9am and then left for the office.  I spent the day finishing up paperwork.  I got sworn in and issued the rest of my equipment.  I left Olympia around 430pm and got back home just a bit before 10pm.  Michelle and the boys got home about 5 minutes later.  They had spent the evening at Aunt Naomi's.  They were pretty impressed with my car and badge.  Dakota said he met two new friends at school today. Keegan said he did too.  ryan_rex

January 3rd, 2006 - I got up and went running at 6am and was checking out email.  Keegan got up at 7am and was raring to go.  He wanted to play a game but I told him we had to get him dressed and get breakfast. It was a struggle to get Dakota out of bed and ready for their first day of preschool.  The boys rode with Michelle to school.  I took some pictures of them arriving.  They like running up the ramp to the door.  We got a tour of the school and signed them in.  Dakota started out in Keegan's class with him so they would both be comfortable.  We gave them a hug and left.  Michelle headed to work and I headed to the to pick up Jim so he could take me to the airport.  The Horizon Airlines lost my one bag I checked in so it took an extra 30 plus minutes to get out of SeaTac.  I spent the rest of the afternoon filling out paperwork and then went to my hotel.  I called home and talked to Keegan.  I asked him what his favorite part of school was?  He replied, "Playing with toys".  Dakota said all he did in school was work, work, work.  dakota1, dakota2, dakota_keegan1, keegan1

January 2nd, 2006 - The boys stayed inside today and played.  They watched their reptile, amphibian and dinosaur history movies that they got at the library last week.  Most of the morning they spent playing Little Bear on the computer.  That is Keegan's favorite game at the moment.  Michelle took them over to Grandma's this afternoon and I went for a run and cooked roast for dinner.  They wanted to go over and check out Von and Jenna's new house they are getting ready to move into too.  Plus Michelle wanted to check out a van downtown again.

January 1st, 2006 - Keegan woke up early and came down to play on the computer.  He played for a good 3 hours playing Little Bear, Winnie the Pooh and Quake 3.  Dakota woke up late while I was watching football.  I asked him if he wanted to go running with me?  He said he did.  He had been asking me for a few weeks.  So the boys got ready.  I put together their big wheels this morning.  Keegan was going to ride his big wheel while I ran but decided to ride in the stroller with Dakota at the last minute.  We were just leaving the garage when I saw a worm crawling on our driveway.  So Dakota picked it up and put it back in the grass.  It has been raining most days since just before Christmas.  They wanted to go down by the river so we ran along the path.  We got home and they rode the big wheel about half a house then  Dakota went inside.  Keegan decided to ride his scooter instead. He didn't stay outside very long since Dakota went inside.  They played with play doh and floam and then we all got ready and went out to eat at Hooters so I could watch the Vikings.  Keegan wanted to see the girls dance on the chairs.  But he got a sliver in his hand and fell asleep when they did it.  Dakota hid under the table.  He didn't want to watch them dance.  After lunch we went to the Honda dealership.  Michelle wanted to look at a used van she saw advertised but it was closed.  So we went to Lowes and ended up buying a dishwasher.
